Okay, so yeah, Michelle is not my favorite actress and not my favorite person right now either! But, if she goes to jail she will screw up the show! They just set up her character so well and now it could all go down the tubes! Nice.
Oh well, maybe the judge is a lost fan and will realize how the show will be royally screwed if he throws her in the slammer. Maybe house arrest where she can still work? They'd just have to shoot her scenes so we can't see her ankle tag. Haha, I am so nice. |
It would suck for her character to need to disappear for 18 months, but on the other hand celebrities should not be above the law. I like her character and I like her past films, but she was already on probation! _________________

Sadness at first because I feel sorry for M.R. and the show could get hurt by this, but then growing to the very happy thought of a quick write-off of Ana As you said KC, she was on probation already! But wait, you weren't talking about Ana Lucia, were you?
I'll bet these two were both driving back from one of Matthew Fox's crazy parties tsk tsk, it's all Matt's fault. |

Psh, throw her in jail. Celebs shouldn't be above the law and it would fix the show. I haven't been liking it as much since she's been on, and it would make me love it even more. I hate AL and would be very happy if she were kicked off. Too bad they can't rewind the season and make her disappear before shooting Shannon. How fabulous that would be. _________________ My Graphics Journal

Well it sounded like in the first article that they were pulled over at the same exact time so they must have been traveling together (albeit not in the same car.) Maybe Cindy was like, "OMG Michelle! You were in that Fast and the Furious movie! Let's get drunk and then go drag racing! Wouldn't that be awesome!?!?!"
Haha. Wow that was mean.
And no! I agree, Michelle should be held accountable! But it still sucks! |

Look at it this way guys. Michelle and Cynthia are both on a big time network show which means I gurantee not only will they have there own lawyers backing them but something tells me any judge trying to sentence any amount of jail time will face network lawyers as well. But that's besides the point. They won't face jail time for drinking and driving. Michelle may end up with some community service in the face of previous offenses but again I seriously doubt she'd see any amount of jail time (pre-bail out not counting since that is procedure).
I still like Michelle as an actress. I'm sure this will give all those non-likers a reason but before they judge her how many of you have ever been drinking and made a stupid decision? They are human just like us and we as fans (or lack thereof) tend to put them on pedestals but they make the same mistakes as you and I do (I would never drink and drive because frankly I don't really drink and I don't condone what they did).
I don't know Michelle so the only version of her that I can know I like is the version that I see on the screen and that is the same for any actor. I study media and I know just how much they blow these things out of proportion so I caution you guys to take these press releases with a grain of salt. We know that they were arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol that's all you should take as fact. Which was shitty decision making on there parts but in all reality actors get pulled over all the time for drinking and driving. It's stupid for all of them but they are allowed mistakes like the rest of us. _________________

I never said I respected what she did just that no one is perfect. Those shouldn't count much against her at least if she served out the sentences (ie community service and rehab). I'd say that is evident by them only having a $500 bail for both of them. If they wanted to go down harder on Michelle they would have started with the bail amount. I think it'll just end up being a slap on there wrists plus we don't know which one was driving. That again could be another factor.
We don't know the whole story and again I go back to saying that fans tend to put actors on these pedestals and when they fall they fall hard because of that. They aren't perfect and we all have our faults. Now her assault was on a roommate and with my current roommate situation I can totally empathize there because my roommate has given me plenty of moments where I just wanted to up and slug her...lol.
I don't condone driving under the influence at all but in all reality people do it all the time (it's stupid but they still do it) and last time I checked actors are just regular people. They deserve to be able to live there lives the way they want without having to worry about what we the fans think because they are living there own lives. We shouldn't care whom is dating whom or who got pulled over or why. The only time we hear about people being pulled over for a DUI or anything along those lines is when they are celebrities. But the sad reality is that stuff happens millions of times everyday but we don't hear about all of those times. Actors are doing a profession they love, bringing characters to life, and in my opinion we should hold them under the spot light like we do. I'm as guilty of it as anyone else but it's an aftermath of the media. They have the power to show us what they want to see while somtimes hiding the truth.
So I say again all that we know to be fact is that they both got pulled over for a DUI. That is all we know and everything else is speculation that may or may not have any place in reality. You can hate Michelle and Cynthia but be careful in how you speculate when we'll never have all the facts and have no right to have all the facts. _________________

They were driving separate cars. I don't hate them. I just am very disappointed in them and in Michelle's case being on probation it just seems a very stupid thing to do. I agree about community service as long as its a good chunk of time. Both of them should have to go on alchoholic treatment courses aswell. _________________

Seriously, even college kids usually get people to drop them off. You would think for the pretty chunk o change theyre making, they could get a car chartered. _________________

Very stupid "decision", even if they thought they'd be able to get out of it. Not to mention it's dangerous to them and everyone else too What woudl have happened if the;;y actually hit someone? Career destruction, that's what. |

I agree completely. DUI sounds like nothing but it means impaired. Even if they think they are good enough drivers I've read about so many drunks driving on the wrong side of the expressway ending up killing little kids, elderly and yet receiving relatively minor bodily injury to themselves. |

I'm very torn in this topic. One part of me is saying that they shouldn't get any special treatment and should do whatever they need! Another part is saying that if they did have to do time then i don't want them to because I don't want it to screw up the show. Actually let me rephrase...They can throw Michelle in jail but I actually like Libby so yeah....what idiots. _________________

LOL
Well Michelle is the only one who's seriously violating her perole for past offences, so it would probably only be her who could get in trouble.
I like Libby too so far. |
