Can anyone help me with a quote or something like it?

I'm kind of searching for a male dying and a male saying something along the lines of "They were just a kid, didn't deserve it." or something about someone acknowledging that someone died? Anything you can think of. Thank you.

Not sure if it's exactly what you're looking for, but in Lethal Weapon 3, Danny Glover's character, while defending himself, shoots and kills a teenage boy that his son was friends with, and at that scene, and again at the funeral for the boy, there is dialogue about him being young, and how he didn't have to die.
