December 2015
Contest: Christmas Cheer
Deadline: January 3rd - extended!
It's December, that means Christmas is right around the corner! It's a time for celebration and fun times with family and friends! But for some of our favorite characters, life may not be going so well. So, let's get them in the Christmas spirit! For this contest, we want you to take a character who's having a rough time, and cheer them up with some Christmas surprises! Holiday-themed music is encouraged but NOT required.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask. We're excited to see your videos! Good luck!
The Rules
Specific Contest Rules
• Make a video about one character who needs some Christmas cheer.
• Multi-fandom, AUs, and OCs are allowed.
• Running time should be under five minutes. We suggest three to five minutes.
• The more creative, the better. Don't be afraid to take risks.
• When entering your video on the Submit page, you MUST enter "December 2015 contest submission" exactly in your vid's description.
General Contest Rules:
• Contest submissions should be entered through the Submit page.
• All regular submissions Rules apply.
• Only one entry per vidder.
• Videos already submitted and RELEVANT can be submitted again, but we would rather see something fresh. (Please contact a CM if you wish to enter a previously-submitted video)
• Please do not use Rapidshare, Yousendit, Mediafire, or Sendspace as your only hosting place as the links tend to expire quickly.
• If you're using Youtube as your primary link, please also provide us with an alternative link. Far too often, YT is either disabled or muted by the time the contest is ready to be judged. Mediafire and zshare are just a couple of the sites out there that can be used as reliable backup links. We do realise that there have been a lot of issues with file-sharing websites recently but if you can find anywhere that you're comfortable uploading to and that is easily accessible, that would be great!
• Keep in mind that however you choose to host your video, it must be available to be watched at least until after the deadline has passed. If we can not access your video at the time of judgment it will not be considered.

Looking forward to entering this one. The Christmas contest is always my favorite.
I have a few different vid ideas, so I just wanted to clarify a few things.
For the contest I could do a completely AU storyline that mixes fandoms, just as long as my focus remains on those characters bringing the holiday spirit to one character who has had a rough time? The reason the character is having a rough year, that can be AU or Canon as well?
I have two prominent ideas for the contest, one is pretty canon with a Christmas twist, but the other one would be heavily AU.

I have about 15-30 seconds left to fill in my vid. (It's about 3 minutes total.)
I also have some finishing touches to do - finish effects, adjust VO's. I think I can get most of it completed tomorrow, but I don't think I'll be quite ready to post it. So can I have a day or two extension?

I think I got my vid submitted. I'm having a little trouble with my computer so I just wanted to make sure the vid did submit properly.
