Can you give me a time marker for the effect? I actually used a few different methods to flash things - kinda ran wild experimenting ... again

Whoops I forgot to mention which effect huh?

Timemarker 2:44 -2:46 the flashing to the beat of the song. I think I can mimic that but not to such a really quick da da da da da of the beat and certainly not so smooth as you did in this section.

Ah hah - this one should translate easily, it's just tweaking technique.

Essentially, rather than making full fades to black on the clips (or 100% > 0% opacity), I did it from 100% > 75% opacity on the first beat, 100% > 50% on the second and 100% > 25% on the last one. It makes it slightly less jarring

In that case, it actually wasn't a fade to black at all - which might be a factor in the final effect so I'll explain that bit as well just in case.

Basically I had two identical clips, but one was the colouring adjusted and one wasn't. I wanted to go from normal colour in the vid to the hypercolouring, so I faded the normal clip using the technique above until the coloured one was dominant.

Does that make any sense at all? o_0 If not, I'll try again tomorrow when my brain isn't making strange creaking noises

Ah. Cool. Yep makes sense but seems like you just reinforced the idea in my head that your vids are as hard to make as they look. I was hoping there was some magical script do dad that timed colour fades to the audio beats. Silly me.

Thanks for the tutorial. I have to give this a try and see what havoc...I mean fun I can wreak...I mean have.

And omg, your video was SO good. I absolutely loved it. I loved how you did the Sawyer/Kate kissing scene. You're one of my favorite Lost vidders, and I can't wait to see more.

I think out of your three videos, this IS the best! It's one of my favorites and you just used all the clips so wisely and perfectly to the song. Amazing, amazing job. I can't even name one favorite part cause I love the WHOLE video!

I just have to say that this video is wonderfully done and it is, of course, MY favorite Sawyer video in the entirety of ever. I love it. The song fits him almost perfectly and the timing of the effects/choice of clips just reinforces it.
