Does anyone know what "AOP framework crashed" or "Acer portal crashed" means?

I keep getting these error messages whether I click on internet explorer, plug in a flash drive, search the web, etc. It's a new computer and has pretty much done this since day one.

The messages don't seem to cause any actual issues though. I'm able to go about my task like nothing happened. But each time this "computer angel" ( a screen with wings) pops up on screen.

Is there a way to fix this? Does this "crash" pose any real damage or is it just annoying?

I don't know anything about AOP framework crashed. But if it's a new computer I'd call the technical support because that doesn't sound like something that should happen with a new product.

That's what I was thinking, it shouldn't be doing this when it's new. I may have to do that. It's been doing it slightly less this week.

It sounds like this is the computer brand software. It is usually unnecessary so you should probably try uninstalling in add/remove programs. I've uninstalled mine as it just clogs up resources.

I hadn't thought to check that, Paul.

I'll look into that. I thought it had finally stopped doing it, but just waking the computer up after it had been inactive for a bit, it gave the message again.
