LVI's Featured Member for September is.....Emma (EMMALOUISE)!



A member of LVI for just over three years, Emma has quickly become well-known for her emotive videos and breathtaking colouring. As she nears 100 videos on LVI, we chose to interview her as our second Featured Member. Here is our interview with EMMALOUISE!


1) What got you interested in vidding?
I stumbled over some Lost vids on youtube, I was so intrigued with how they were made. It looked like fun so I thought I’d give it a go.


2) Do you have a tip, trick, or technique you'd like to share?
I always try to get dvd rips, as they really improve the quality of the vid. Also sharpen tool is my best friend It really improves the quality of the clips. I always save my colourings and experiment with colour curves. I always Google the lyrics and the meaning to any song I vid, it makes it a lot easier when it comes to choosing scenes.

3) What are your favorite current fandoms?
My favourite show will always be Lost, but I really love The Vampire Diaries, The Walking Dead, Fringe, Nikita, Game of Thrones, Supernatural, Glee, True Blood, Teen Wolf, The Big Bang theory, Modern Family, Community, Pretty Little Liars, Person of Interest, House, Doctor Who, American Horror Story, Dexter and Breaking Bad. (Wow, I watch a lot of T.V XD )

I have recently got really obsessed with Prison Break, it’s not a current show, but it is now my second favourite show behind Lost. It is so good.
I really would love to see it vidded more.


4) What was your first vid and what is your favorite vid you've done?
My first vid was a Sawyer and Juliet vid, and it was terrible. I didn’t edit it at all. There were scenes in the vid which didn’t change for about ten seconds

My favourite video would be Lost :Sing it out, it got a great response, I really adore the song. I loved every minute of vidding it. I like the colouring on it too.I also really like my Sawyer and Kate vid to Come undone.

5) Do you have any goals as far as skill improvement or dream projects?
I don’t really have any goals, but I’m always looking for ways to improve. I have a couple of songs which would be dream projects which I will vid eventually, at the moment they feel to big for me.


6) Your colouring is always so perfectly matched to the emotion of your video. How important is colouring to you?

Thank you, the colouring is very important to me, I can’t even start a video until I get the colouring done. I really love trying to make new unique colourings.

I get very obsessed with the colouring, it has to be just right, and even then I’m never completely happy with it.


7) Your videos on LVI show incredible improvement from when you first started submitting videos. What is your tip for vidder's hoping to improve?

Thank you so much My advice would be, be persistent, and listen to constructive criticism, it really helped me improve. Also just be yourself, try to find your own style and have fun.

I really enjoyed your interview.

I've always enjoyed your Lost vids. I never watched Prison Break,but I really enjoy those vids as well. You capture the story and the emotions so well.

Great interview; and coloring is the hardest part for me and making new coloring is always a bit of a challenge; so I loved hearing what you had to say because I really admire your coloring.
