It's April, and we all know that this month starts off with April Fool's Day! Everyone needs a good laugh every now and then. Sometimes our favorite actors and actresses can't hold their laughs in either, as shown in the blooper reels for many shows! So that's what we want to see for our contest this month - videos featuring bloopers!

Feel free to use video from bloopers reels, behind the scenes clips, convention footage, or any other "extra" you want. However, no footage from an actual show/movie, we want these videos to be bloopers/outtakes, not character moments. Any fandom is welcome, you can focus on just one, or make it multi-fandom! Most of all, we want these videos to be fun & make us laugh!

The Rules

Specific Contest Rules:
• - Make a video featuring bloopers from any fandom.
• - TV shows & movies are allowed, or a mix of both.
• - Use only behind the scenes footage, no actual show/movie clips.
• - No mash-ups, AUs, OCs, or trailers please
• - Running time should be under five minutes. We suggest the 3 - 5 minute range.
• - The more creative, the better. Don't be afraid to take risks.
• - When entering your video on the Submit page, you MUST enter "April 2012 contest submission" exactly in your vid's description.

General Contest Rules:

• - Contest submissions should be entered through the Submit page.
• - All regular submissions Rules apply.
• - Only one entry per vidder.
• - Videos already submitted and RELEVANT can be submitted again, but we would rather see something fresh. (Please contact a CM if you wish to enter a previously-submitted video)
• - Please do not use Rapidshare or Yousendit as your only hosting place.
• - If you're using Youtube as your primary link, please also provide us with an alternative link. Far too often, YT is either disabled or muted by the time the contest is ready to be judged. Mediafire and zshare are just a couple of the sites out there that can be used as reliable backup links. We do realise that there have been a lot of issues with file-sharing websites recently but if you can find anywhere that you're comfortable uploading to and that is easily accessible, that would be great!
• - Keep in mind that however you choose to host your video, it must be available to be watched at least until after the deadline has passed. If we can not access your video at the time of judgment it will not be considered.
• - Have fun!

Are deleted scenes considered to be footage from the show?

Yes, deleted scenes are considered part of the show, since the actors are in character the whole time.

I was wondering that too becuase technically they're in some sort of character; except if they're playing themselves during Update/the beginning monologue.

To answer the SNL question, no, footage from that is not allowed unless it is an actual blooper from SNL. We want to see bloopers/behind the scenes for this, and clips from SNL would most likely show the actor/actress in character.
