I'm trying to fine tune a writing playlist, but I need some song suggestions!

I need songs about:

1) Danger/Rescue, along the lines of All That I Am (Rob Thomas), Set the Fire to the Third Bar (Snow Patrol), Somewhere (Within Temptation)

2) Confrontation (confronting someone who has betrayed you)

3) Goodbye (tearful goodbye, someone leaves unexpectedly)


Absolutely any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

There, now that I've fulfilled that quota:

Danger/rescue: Big Country's 'Look Away,'
Confrontation: Elvis Costello's (sorry! it's late) 'You Bowed Down,' REM's 'Living Well is the Best Revenge.'
Goodbye: Billy Bragg's 'If You Ever Leave,' and, to seriously fulfill my quota, Warren Zevon's 'Hasten Down the Wind.'

I would also recommend Bruce Springsteen's 'For You' for all three of these, so look that one up too.

PS, what was the betrayal situation? If it's cheating, just download Costello's Blood and Chocolate album, every song of which except for 'Tokyo Storm Warning' and 'Battered Old Bird' are about his divorce because his ex was cheating on him with folks of both sexes (hence 'Honey, Are You Straight or Are You Blind?') -- check out 'I Hope You're Happy Now' and 'Next Time Round' in particular, with regards to the divorce.

But maybe that's too much Costello for you. Not for me!
