The white flash at the end of season 5 finale sent the Oceanic 6 (plus Jin) to the future. Everyone else’s new future will be re-written so they don’t remember each other except those Jacob touched. At first I thought it was simply to get them to the island, but I think it was to make them remember everything once they changed the future. This would ensure Jacob’s survival as well.

thats a good theory actually, and definitely plausible. It would explain why he chose those few. I hope season six is a good season, 'cause in a way its the most vital one. It can either wrap up the story really well and keep the majority happy or it can do what it always does and leaves us with more questions than it answers

Oooh, thats a very cool theory, and could explain as to why he only saw them
