Is the monster some kind of bird?
And why Evie is the only one on the cover? |
Well... if I remember correctly, before they saw the monster in exodus, they saw an eagle fly away. Also, almost every time the monster has come, there have been bird calls..... hmmmmmmmm... This could very well be a hint. We know one thing: and that's that the eagle was there in the show for a reason. Though it COULD just be a sign that the monster saw them, because they disturbed the eagle, and the monster saw the flying eagle and investigated. That would be an alternate way of the monster seeing them, at least, as opposed to the smoke flying away idea. (they often give us two options to believe)
Apparently, Evie is the "star" of lost. At least, she was scheduled to be before they decided NOT to kill Jack.

now that'd be cool LOST DnD! YEH!
uhh... *ahem*
I doubt I'll get any unless there actually IS something in one of them that I don't know already, but I HIGHLY doubt it. Someone tell me, just in case lol. I'll bet the Lost companion is more like a guide to Lost you can read through, so they can point out the ultra-obvious and make you pay money for it. eg. "FUN FACT: Did you know that just before the first polar bear appeared on the island, Walt (the ten-year-old boy who was on the plane with his dad, Micheal) was reading a Spanish comic book with a picture of a polar bear on it."
these types of books are rarely for the mega-fans... they don't HAVE enough extra information to fill up a book...
I'd rather read the "Endangered Species" one, since even if it's an alternate fiction than what's actually happenign on the show, if it's endorsed by J.J. then that must mean the things that happen in there must have to fill in with the plot of Lost (eg. the monster in the book is the same monster as the show) so any hints given away (like about the monster) could be more clues to put into the puzzle.
That is, UNLESS they put a big disclaimer saying "all events in this book are in no way related to Lost, J.J. Abrams, or ABC." LOL |

I've read some really great media tie-in fiction in the past. I've also read some really lousy media tie-in fiction. I'm crossing my fingers that this one will be in the "great" category.
As far as the companion book goes, I'll probably pick that up too. Won't be expecting much out of it, though. |

oh, you mean that included DVD will have something new...? doubt it probably just another copy of the first season DVD. But yes, the DVD set will have many new things, includign deleted scenes. Should be good!
September 6th, huh...? guess we'll have to wait until then before we can start harping at people that we only accept lost DVD footage for videos LOL (no more of that ANNOYING ABC logo! ) |
