Okay, OT? Where did that mugshot come from? Kate was on the lamb! She was never arrested in her flashbacks! The Marshall nabbed her finally in Australia but I highly doubt that he would have taken a mug shot there. Is it just me or was she never arrested?

Good point. I guess she might have not gone to Australia straight away though. She headed around the USA in Born to Run didn't she.

To answer the Kate pic. In Collision when Kate is in the Ford Crown Vic with Marshal dude he says "Comfy Kate? Its a long ride back to the arraignment." I looked up the term in a law dictionary online and found:
arraignment:n. the hearing in which a person charged with a crime is arraigned in his or her first appearance before a judge. This is the initial appearance of a criminal defendant (unless continued from an earlier time) in which all the preliminaries are taken care of.
I think this means that she has already been booked (printed, photographed and essentially processed) at the Harrison Valley, PA police station but was being transported to possibly a more secure holding cell to await her arraignment. |
