It doesn't prove anything. Every tournament is different. In 2004 we won Portugal 2 times. We had good team, we were very lucky against czech at the semi-finals and we won the tournament.

2 months before we won again Portugal at a friendly match... but it doesn't say anything. Personally i was very pesimistic about Greece this year. I knew what's going to happen.


Since 2004, Rehagel didn't make big changes to the squad and that's the reason we didn't play well. Almost all players were 30 years old and older.

In Greek team there is a backstairs influence, with players like Charisteas, Dellas and many more... who had a kind of "contract" with the National Federation and Rehagel. It doesn't matter if they don't play well... As long as Rehagel is the coach... they'll be parts of the squad no matter what. We talk about money here, about commercials, about prestige.

It's something like Ronaldo's participation at the World Cup 1998 final.

Just remember 2 names... Papastathopoulos (defender 20 years old) and Ninis (midfielder 18 years old). Those players deserved to play in that national team but Rehagel didn't include them in the squad for the reasons i mentioned.

Keep that names... Papastathopoulos & Ninis and when they transfer to big Europeans clubs and see what i'm talking about... you'll understand how stupid Rehagel is...


Deia i really want to watch a final between Portugal and Nederlands. I want to see a dodfight like World Cup 2002.

And if you asked me about my favourite Portugal player... i wan't say Ronaldo... neither Deco, but...

I don't like Greece not just because of the Euro. I don't like they way they play.They don't make anything to win a game. they play in defensive all the time, they don't change..the game against Sweden showed that..just passing the ball between 3-4 players over and over again! Boring.

I know man... and i hate that, too.

After Sweeden's match, Dellas gave and Interview and said that in the 30th minute all the team was feeling so tired that they couldn't even walk. And that's the reason they were passing the ball.

If Papastathopoulos was in the team, he wouldn't pass the ball. He would take it from the defence straight to counter attach by his own.

Man, i ted you... He's 10 times better than Ricardo Carvalio.
