Chapter Three
"Nate!" Liz jumped and grabbed Nate. "You're alive!" She looked into his eyes and stopped. She dropped him and scooted back. He looked at her. His eyes were black. She looked back and saw a black tree. "No." She turned around and looked at Nate. He grabbed her by the throat.

He pushed her up against a tree. "Nate, don't!" Nate looked her in the eyes. His hand started to shake. His eyes rolled back into hs head. "Liz?" He fainted. She coughed and opened his eye. His eyes were white again.

Kate woke up. She rolled onto her side and spat out a couple teeth from when Locke punched her. The blood from the teeth was dried around her mouth. She grabbed at her stomach in pain. "Hurley." She could barely talk. She had lost a significant amount of blood. "Hur--" She fainted again.

Shannon was walking through the jungle, she didn't now where she was going. She stopped and pulled out the gun she had swiped from the case. She heard a rustling in the bushes. She turned arund and shot at the bush in anger. Danielle fell out of the bush. "Shannon!" Shannon looked at Jack who ran up to Danielle. "What did you do?"
"She killed Sayid."
"I... didn't." Jack bent down and turned her over. Blood was leaking out of her chest. "Who was it then?" asked Shannon. "The others."

Shannon looked at her in shock. "Jack," Danielle muttered. "What?"
"I know where they are..."
"The others?"
"Yes."
"Is Walt okay?"
"He won't be as soon as he wakes up." She started to cough up blood.

"Where are they?"
"They're at the--"
"Where?"
"The--"
"Do I know this place?"
"No."
"Where are they?"
"They're at the..." Danielle died.

Jack sat back and looked at Shannon. She was gone. The gun was lying on the ground.

He walked over and picked it up. He looked around. He walked forward into the jungle. He hadn't looked back at the giant black tree.
