I loved both kisses, because I love both ships.
But the "spectacular" one that was hyped so much by Damon and Carlton and the media in the last two months was the Skate kiss. They said it would be triangle related and it is even described that way in the ABC recap. I have to say that it makes me very confident about Skate that the writers said this scene was one of their all ime favourite moments.

I have a feeling that the Skate reunion might even top that..

i think ben might think that des was on the boat. OOH; theory time: ben doesnt know and when he tracks down penny to kill her; des is there and kills ben. crisis over? just a thought :p

speaking of the despenny phone call, i actually thought that'd be it for them. I figured they'd got in their I love you's, he knew she still cared about him and waited for him and all, she knew he was still alive. thats why i thought they'd kill him. but im so glad they reunited

Yeah, I thought they'd only have the phone call this season because that was a lot for them this season because even thought it wansn't a lot in screen time but the whole idea of it was a lot because they got to talk to each other.

yeah; i thought that to. i figured the call was 'it' for despenny for the season. kinda like how claire saying 'charlie' when she was blown up was 'it' for pbj for the season dont get me started...

Just so you know from a Skater's POV, I agree, the Skate kiss wasn't that spectacular. lol It was sweet and a nice goodbye, but....it IS the kiss the writers have been talking about. They specifically said it would complicate the triangle (and it does), and the DesPenny kiss didn't do that. lol They've given a lot of hints about the spectacular kiss and the Skate one fit that description, except for the whole stopping time thing. I mean, I love Skate and I was happy about it. I thought it was a sweet scene, but it wasn't the most amazing thing I've ever seen in my life. xD

And just cuz it had no tongue and it wasn't as "hot" as expected, I don't think it was meant to be. I think it was supposed to be kinda sad kinda sweet, a goodbye really...there was a chance that they wouldn't see each other again, but for some reason, if it was all hot and heavy and crazy it'd be a little weird. To me at least. lol I mean, what did we all expect? Them to get it on in the helicopter? hehe (That would have been REALLY strange) It was a final, gentle "I love you" from Sawyer...at least, that's how I saw it. So, it wasn't spectacular, but it was nice, and I didn't really feel the need to be upset about it.

Well, I loved the Skate kiss and it was the spectacular one that Damon and Carlton hyped so much. I already posted yesterday that they said it was triangle related. And the ABC recap which is based on the scripts also confirms it:

To me both kisses were spectacular. But the Des/Penny one kinda makes me worried for their future... I hope they won't kill Penny off now that they got their happy ending!

Are you kidding me? The despenny kiss should've been the kiss they were talking about, no offence. I didn't think the skate kiss was very spectacular. Like Sassy said it was nice, but it wasn't amazing. I guess it depends what kind of fan you are. It was like them saying that girls would love "Eggtown" but er, no it would depend.
