Hi all, what software does anyone recommend for vidding?
I've had it with Movie Maker being so goddamn slow all the time, not to mention limited.
I want a program that's dual core aware for a start, and got more potential. I'm good with programs, I can learn them, but don't want anything too complicated to use. Anyone got any recommendations? _________________

Sony Vegas is definitely the best, in my experience. I downloaded a free trial of 7.0 and I'd never go back to WMM or try iMovie or anything like that....EVER. It's awesome and the program you see a lot of vidders using. _________________

Ok Sony Vegas it is! Can you make stuff run backwards in Vegas? _________________

| Yes you can. ^__^ Just right click and select 'reverse clip' from the menu. |

Just adding my vote for Vegas as well. I use Sony Vegas Movie Studio 6.0 (8.0 is the current one but I haven't felt the need to upgrade) and it's a much cheaper alternative to the full version. It's only lacking one or two of Vegas's most advanced effects, everything else is pretty much the same. |

adding my vote for vegas. although i have to say i was massively intimidated. i had it for about six months before I even attempted it. now i cant imagine using anything else. id reccommed getting vegas's trial and just taking your time learning effects and stuff. you can pretty much do anything in vegas; thts why i love it _________________
