I'm having a really bizarre problem. Here is a tragic play-by-play.

1) I will log into the forums.

2) I will go to reply to a post.

3) I am taken to the sign-in screen again.

4) I supply my username and password.

5) I am taken to the reply form.

6) I fill it out and click "Submit" (NOT "Preview").

7) I am taken to the sign-in screen again.

I supply my username and password.

9) I am taken to the reply form.

10) I fill it out and click "Submit" (NOT "Preview").

11) I am taken to the sign-in screen again.

It's an endless cycle and I've tried everything. I even opened a new account, THIS account, to try and beat the problem. No luck. I managed one freak post earlier today, which encouraged me to attempt another SOS. I tried asking for help before, but I couldn't post, so it was all very futile.

Here's hoping this works! I want to be a good, active part of the LVI community!

Oooooookay... this is weird, but it seems to be working now. For no reason. I'm doing nothing different. Um, yay?

I have no idea what it could be or what it is that's making it work now :Shock: If it is indeed a technical issue, then hopefully Enchirito sees this thread, or else just wait until this happens again, then PM him
But nine times out of ten these sorts of things are just some missunderstanding, or a mischecked box in one's setting or soemthing so I don't know what to tell you! lol

I had EXACTLY this same thing happen to me after I'd been a member here for a couple of weeks. I had been posting just fine, then one night that endless-loop thing started!

I cleared my cookies, deleted temporary Internet files, all that stuff that they tell you to do, but nothing worked. And, like you, I had done nothing different, hadn't changed any settings, installed any new programs or updates... Nothing!

This is what finally worked for me: checking the "Log me on automatically each visit" box that's right under the username and password fields. I never AM logged on automatically each visit, BTW, but just by checking that box, then I can stay logged in and post as I please.

To this day, if I DON'T check that box, then every time I change pages, I get logged out and can't post. Beats me why that is! I'm just glad that FOR NOW *ominous music plays* this works for me. If this gives you trouble like that again, maybe this trick will help you? Hope so!

Same thing happened to me - but I changed my Firewall settings to accept cookies and VBS script from the site and now it's working again.

Aislynn--- I'm going to try your trick with the checking of the box. That sounds promising.
