if you had asked me when i first started watching this vid if i would gold it; i woulda said no. I hated the song to be honest. Then I watched it and the story just took hold of me. And, i began to think of the song was beautiful and now still do. The ending was gorgeously sad to me for some reason.
[spoiler:b18ed3d8e5]the only critique i have, which is nothing to do with you, is that line in the song 'you're dreaming of the corpse you really love'. just the word corpse at the end of what i now think was a beautiful song kinda ruined the mood a little for me. again, not your fault. and very helpful for the storyline, too  [/spoiler:b18ed3d8e5]

Evangeline!! OH MY GOSH! I LOVED THIS! It was just so orignal. I agree with Kat that at first I hated the song but then all of sudden it was just awesome! Your storytelling in this was so great and I loved the ending! Gold from me too! This is your best so far and I'm gonna fav. it on Youtube!

Very nice job! Honestly...I hate the song with a passion. I hated the voice, the style...but the lyrics really worked well for the song. You had a nice story, tho I've seen it vidded before (Kate being in love with one of them, but with another). Mostly, I loved your clip choices and effects. Especially the weird, faded/old camera/scratchy effect. lol Sorry,my midn went blank for what it was called. xD
[spoiler:fe5aead5d0]I really liked how you incorporated the UK promo, as well as the flashes of memory when Jack and Kate were looking at each other, and it showed just before the Skate kiss in Confidence Man. [/spoiler:fe5aead5d0]
It was a great vid altogether, and I enjoyed it, despite the song...

You Either Love this song or you hate! But Personally I think you have to give it a chance to grow on you.
littleton_pace - Thank you, I'm glad you overlook your dislike for the song & enjoyed the video.
[spoiler:844a92dbeb]That line does comes out of nowhere but I think it shows that the person the song was written about is really longing for the lover that has passed on and it seems like she settled. But it does create a real sadness to the end of the video.[/spoiler:844a92dbeb]

Sassy - Thanks you. I know the idea has been done 100 times before & will be done a 100 times again but this was my take on it. I love that "weird, faded/old camera/scratchy effect" too ( I have no clue what its called either ) & I've been itching to use it for ages. I think it really works with those clips and the music too.

| Didn't like it to begin with (thought I'd dive right in there with the honesty) but ended up loving it and voting gold by the end! You're totally right - the song did grow on me and I like the kind of "reveal" when you realised he was dead. Very moving, cute video and I'm a hardcore Jater so that's sayin something! |

I really enjoyed that. I actually liked the song (believe it or not!!) and I was pleasantly surprised at the story it told.  I'm not, like, a country music junkie, but I like this guy's tone quality. Reminds me of Johnny Cash (I LOVE Cash!!). Anyway, aside from the song, it was a beautiful video, and I liked the way you manipulated the scenes to fit the lyrics. It was really good. And sad. I mean, a world in which [spoiler:f295c69b73]Sawyer is dead...  [/spoiler:f295c69b73] isn't a world I want to live in.
