I didn't get a chance to comment on this yesterday, but WOW!!! Great job!!! That was terrific. Seriously. Beautifully done. I didn't realize how beautiful the music from The Fountain was until you started using it. Man. That was pretty. I loved the way you used audio throughout. And the deleted scene. I guess it explains why her wrists were so messed up when she was put in her cage... man that looked like it hurt.

Anyway, that was great. Excellent character study. I give it gold.

Thanks Freckles! Yeah ,I wish they would have kept even a little part of that scene in the actual episode b/c its so important to who Kate is. Such a shame...but oh well that is why I made this video.

Wow, great job with this!

It was actually a long vid but I never noticed, so that's good thing.

You told Kate's story brillantly and the handcuff scene worked really well.

I almost forgot how sad Kate's story is and I'd started losing sympathy with her a little last season so thanks for restoring that!

Yay! I'm glad I restored your sympathy for her. I think people are too hard on her sometimes and need to give her a break. Yeah, I know its kind of long but her story is so complex I couldn't cut it down. There were soo many other things I wanted to put in but couldn't without making it a 10 min video...haha! Loved it! I like the music choice cause it was simple enough to not distract from the video but emotive and sad enough to totally tie-in with the whole theme of the vid. The continuing use of the deleted handcuff scene was great - It gave a great structure to the video without feeling overused. I also liked that you didn't skimp on the audio. If someone had never watched Lost, I really think they could watch this and completely understand Kate's character (well not completely understand but, does anyone?!). Tis true that it was a bit on the long side but I agree that Kate's story is quite complex and needs that amount of time to truly do it justice.

That was absolutely beautiful! I almost cried and Kate's not even one of my favourite characters! Beautiful music. I really loved how you kept going back to the clip in the locker room where she was trying to break free of the cuffs. I never realised she had been handcuffed so much

Really very beautiful video! The best part was when she was counting to 5 and the end too. Wonderful video! Congrats on getting gold! I'm going to vote gold too

wow!!! I was not expecting that! what beautiful use of that scene; that really made the vid so emotional; the reasons Kate was in handcuffs; then getting out of them on the island only to be put back in them. I cant believe they cut that scene; its so poignant for her character now that I've seen it. Great job Nikki! Gold from me

OMG!!! That was sooooo beautifull Nikki!!!! Seriously!!! You had me tearing up at the end, especially with the counting to 5 bit!!! You did an amazing job with the editing! Allot of times when people have a soft song with a bunch of voice overs, it tends to sound shoppy or awkeward. But you made everything sooo smooth and WOW!!! like this is one of those vids your just sucked into in a trance and dont realize it was 5 minutes long!!! Where did get the Kate clip? Was it a deleted scene from the dvd??? Anyway i really really reallllllyyyy loved this vid!!! Congrats on this masterwork!!!

Yay! Thanks Trey! The deleted scene is from the UK bonus disc. Sadly its not on the US version for some odd reason! But when I saw it I couldn't believe they cut out that scene b/c it seemed so important to Kate's character, so I had to make vid about it.
