hey,
I've noticed lately that I have to vote 3 times to get my vote to show up. Do you think its just my browser? I'm using safari.

Hey there, Nikki! Is this voting for the Tournament, Open Polls or just the "regular" voting on the vids on site? What does it do when it fails to work properly? Any messages or things like that? Also, do you have another browser you could try to see if it makes any difference?

All of that said, we'll have to ask Warren about this since he's the webmaster and knows more about things like this than I do. However, I CAN tell you that all of us have had problems with the "regular" vid voting, where it will sometimes just fail to follow-through properly and will sometimes log you out and send you back to the forums from the main site. I've also had it send me back as if I didn't really vote, though I can see what, if anything, I wrote in the comment and my VP button is still ticked but it didn't seem to assign my vote. I've found if I just refresh the page, then it comes in correctly without having to submit the vote again. I'm really not sure what makes it do that.

If you do have to click submit again, though, it shouldn't submit two votes. Though of course, if you've ever found that it does or if something else goes wrong, be sure to let us know!

Its the voting for just the regular vids. It does what you said...fails to follow through. I will try what you said and refresh the page...I do have firefox. I will try using that and see if it works better.

Well, I haven't modified anything, so it must be some recent glitch involving one of the thousands of other variables out there.
I'd love to say "I'll get right on this", but I'm not even sure I can fix it . I can try though.

Let me know how this is going, or if anyone else is having this problem. There's probably some sort of common trait between you all that's causing it to happen. Hmmmm

I think it might be the browser b/c when I use firefox I don't have that problem. I was using Safari before.

well, I wish I knew what it is about Opera that wasn't letting it work. One of these days I'll do some serious testing with those sorts of things and figure out the specifics.
But for the moment - glad things are working now!

yeah, you know what ,now I have to vote three times again using firefox. So maybe it's not the browser. Oh well. I guess I'll just have to vote three times.
