ok, just d/loaded photoshop pro 7 trial and im going ok, ive manage to make a banner, as in insert three pics and place them on a blank canvas, lol. i even added some lighting effects. anyways, im having issues with how to blend and how to feather or soften the edges of the pics so they dont look so harsh. this is what i've got so far, its not done but im not sure how to continue without the feathering cos it annoys me so much

but see how the edges of the pics are obvious? how do i soften them? any help would be appreciated
and also, beware horrible explanation to follow, before i add effects, is there a way to group the pics together so that they all move as one? cos right now i can only put effects on each pic separately and not the banner as a whole.
thanks

well with paint shop pro I just use an eraser which has a feathery thing.
Then merge all layers should make all the pictures into one. _________________

Thanks!
