WOW that was a really good video, i really liked it, and it is creepy how Locke is somewhat like gollum, what really tripped me out was Locke rocking back and forth over the hatch crying, to the switch of gollum rocking back and forth crying, that was a creepy resemblance! But I really loved it, and I love that song so much!! Great job!!!

I posted a request for a vid using "Gollum's Song" several months ago. I wonder if this vid has anything to do with that? I loved it, althoughat least two of the clips you used could've been taken further and compared to Locke:
Gollum hitting Sam with the rock- Locke hitting Sayid with the log
Gollum wringing the tree- Locke wringing out his shirt from Boone's blood. I agree about the rocking. It was creepy

Lexi- sorry must have missed that request! I agre with the hitting thing, but since we didnt see Locke do it to Sayid, I didnt know if it was applicable. Going to tinker with it though, so maybe Ill use him hitting Boone. Thanks for the suggestions!

Wow! How did I miss this one until now??? Usually anything with a mention of LotR grabs my attention right away! Sorry about that!

Anyway, I thought this was an amazing vid! On a technical level, I loved the effects and transitions but what really impressed me was how you drew an understandable comparison between Locke and Gollum. It hit me like, "no way, they ARE alike!" It just made such perfect sense!

And then all those cool "mirroring" shots, where Locke and Gollum where either doing similar actions or were in similar poses... That was just too cool! Leaves me stunned at how much work that must have been to get things so seamless like that!

My number one favorite shot, though, is the end one, with Locke (and Jack) looking down into the hatch as the camera "falls back" which morphs into Gollum and the Ring falling into the lava. Wow again! If that could've been done better, I have no idea how!

So, Gollum has the Ring, Locke has the Hatch... I'd never even thought about it like that (and believe me, I've thought waaaay too much about both LotR AND Lost! ). I just love it when a vid brings something to light that's never occurred to me until that very moment and it just is too true!

In case it's not obvious by now I really, really enjoyed this vid! Excellent work!
