Dont know if anyone has already discussed this but why in the finale, does jack talk about his dad as though he is alive. Is jacks dad alive or was jack just confused in his drunking depressed state.

it could be one of two things.

1. it could be the writers throwing us off, making us believe it is a flashback. "up stairs" is also a term for heaven, so Jack could just be being sarcastic.

2. Jacks dad really is alive thus having John Terry as a season 4 regular thus re naming Lost the Christian Shepard show!
