i liked it too. Loved the stuff going back to the other seasons. Great to see shannon, boone, artz, and ethan agin. Artz was really great! what was that one line he said, the pigs are walking? i can see how some people got discouraged with it since its comming from a huge cliffhanger episode, but its lost so what do you expect!

Well yeah, of course but if everything happens for a reason, then something is up between Eko being murdered by the monster/island and this.

Ok, first thing's first! Why'd they have to be soooo many Freakin Spiders. *shudder* I'm all freakin itchy now! For me bitten by spiders would be worse than buried alive! *shudder* Damn LOST, I love you but seriously do you have to show me freaking spiders?!?! I don't like spiders, so no more pleeeease!

This ep wasn't bad , I'm soooooo pleased that first flashback turned out to be soap (or whatever it was) set. I was really worried that the acting was gonna be that bad!

Nice to see Shannon, Boone, Ethan and Arzt again , even if Shannon and Boone's hair was longer than the last time we saw!
I forgot how much I missed them actually. hehe love Shannon "Kate and her two boyfriends" "Boone, stop flirting with random guys!"

Okay, Paulo and Nikki it's horrible to be buried alive but what did they ever do? If this ep was supposed to make it seem like there was a point to them then it failed!

Anyone else have Kill Bill in mind with the whole buried alive thing? Maybe one of em'll get out!

WTF was with Sawyer? Why the hell he throw the diamonds in with them? Sooooo not like him!

As for Charlie, good on him for being honest. Ooooh and good on Sun for punching Sawyer, you go girl!

I quite enjoyed this episode didn't think i would until i saw the promo for it last week. I thought the story line was great and the best line for me this week was

hurley: nikki's dead
Camera looks at sawyer and dramatic music plays
sawyer: who's nikki

haha that made me laugh alot

i didn't like the spiders they creeped me out. I couldn't adjust to boone's long hair when i kept thinking back to season 1 and it was short.

There was a kinda jacket moment in it aswell, well mainly Juliet comment on Jack saying he was cute lol.

I like how charlie was honest with Sun and i can see that playing on next week, I think though, as much as i love charlie i think he should have some of the blame too. since both he and sawyer were the ones that did but i kinda don't blame sun for doing it and the whole convo with her and sawyer gave me a while to see sawyer shirtless

i was thinking aswell when watching the episode how they just really stuck claire in the episode this week for the funeral and then the crash scene with jack for a few minutes.

did anyone else notice or was it my imagination but did paulo have more facial hair at the crash scene than he did at the airport??

I am actually totally surprised that I vaguely enjoyed episode. However I still smiled when Hurley and Sawyer finished the job

Well at least Nikki got her tits out, there isn't much other reason to like her! So that was good, and their backstory was surprisingly good though her TV show thing was lame as hell. Meh. So their backstory worked out alright and if they had only tried to do this earlier we may have vaguely liked them, however they didn't and I applaud their demise.

Boone and Shannon were utterly wasted in this ep. Artz did work because he set up their paralysis etc so that was ok. Hurley, Charlie, Sawyer, Jin and Sun working together was good to see. Desmond just dropped in with some info and to help dig but for once wasn't the focus of a beach episode. Charlie confessing was great, because they had him do it himself, not be found out, so that was good. And Sawyer got a slap. However I'm sure all the ladies are drooling over that digging bit

So overall I was quite impressed, though the scenes from the first season where they just added them in did start to bug me a bit. They had no impact unsurprisingly, which I think they thought they would.

But overall I was impressed when I was expecting utter crap, and burying them alive was a fantastic ending

Goodbye Paulo and Nikki, may you never irritate the beach Losties ever again...

OMG... they were buried ALIVE! What a way to go.

The episode was okay actually, I thought that I would hate it but I didn't. I just didn't enjoy it as much. I loved the Boone/Shannon airport scene And Arzt staring at Nikki's boobs Nice enough episode. I wonder what happens next? Are they just gonna leave Nikki and Paulo now?

yeah i dont think we will be seeing those two anymore. I think damon even said that they did it that way rather than just not writing them in any more episodes.

A) Why didn't Ben or Juliet raise an eyebrow at the fact the pearl station was open or at least unlocked?

B) Why didn't they lock it afterwards? Which of course would've trapped him there.

C) Are we sposed to believe that Paulo covered it with dust afterwards meaning that it wasn't found till late Season 2?

Interesting points, but I think the third one, depending on when he got in there, WHOA WAIT A SECOND. When Nikki and Paulo first found the hatch, it was only covered by a thin, revealing layer of dirt, and the beachcraft was still up so it was before the plane landed on the opening. But the time that Paulo got inside and overheard their conversation, Jack was on the TV monitor talking in the hatch! That would have been long after the plane fell. How the hell did he get inside then? I hope this isn't a huge error in continuity.


Overall I found it an okay episode. I didn't like it at first, but it managed to get better as it went on. I cringed at most of the reenacted island flashbacks though. It was just too weird and unreal.

Oh...my....god. Talk about cringing, I didnt get to watch this last night so Im watching it now, those re-enacted flashbacks and episode 1 moments are horrible and UNECESSARY. Talk about just trying to fit them in, why?????? Its girls like that who give us all a bad name- "Im in a bikini! Please help me! Tee hee!". Sorry little bit o'rolling eye action. Man if Nikki and Paolo had just told someone about that tiny plane...

A) C) "Who left this open?" "Tom was down here a few days ago" "Tell him to cover it up with the plane" (paraphrasing) - Ben and Juliette as they enter the Pearl in this episode

They found it when the plane was up, and all that was there was a bit of dirt covering it. I think we can accept Locke didn't notice it in Deus ex Machina because he was too preoccupied with his leg and Boone dying and all. As for why they didn't find it afterwards, Ben answers that in the convo with Juliette in the Pearl "Tell [Tom] to cover it up with the plane". he said that 32 days before this ep... dunno when that is, but someone can do the math . And when Paulo went down the plane was also down (there's no shot outside right before that, but we can assume it from the time it happened and Ben/Juliette's convo). This was probably just a few days after discovering the Swan, so it makes sense Jack was in there, yet nobody had discovered the Pearl.

I don't understand why you guys don't like Nikki and Paulo. They are only the best characters ever. I hope they crawl out of their graves next week and kick everyone's asses for not being as cool as them.

Also, when Sawyer was digging the grave, he closed his eyes for a second and I swear I heard him whisper, "Oh, Jack!" Am I hearing things? Someone please go re-wind the audio on that!!! I can't be the only one!!!
