Great job, Mon Amie! As you know I've never seen Dead Like Me but I still had no problem understanding the plot of the whole thing. Great AU and really original story, and awesome use of the song's beat and lyrics. I loved the ending especially. Great vid! _________________

You know, I totally love this song now! One of the highest compliments I can give it is that I caught myself thinking, "Man, here Shannon had Mason but she couldn't keep herself from fooling around with Charlie and look how things ended up!" And THAT'S when you know you were convinced by all of the AU!
Great job! Loved the beat use and I LOVE the ending (in a morbid sorta way ), especially that last shot as it goes out to black! Excellent!

Thanks Mon Frere! *hug* I'm glad that I was able to construct an AU good enough to be understood by someone who isn't in the DLM fandom. I was having a horrible time thinking of how to take advantage of the beats and not interrupt clips that were telling my story, but then Ais came out with that whiteflash tutorial after I spammed up one of Warren's vid's threads asking about it, and it popped into my head that I could do it that way instead. Thank God for Aislynn The ending was my FAVORITE part to make

Ah!!! I can't believe it!! A Dead Like Me/LOST crossover!! Now I've seen it all!!!
I watched the reruns of Dead Like Me on SciFi and I love that show!! (I always loved Mason!) I can't believe it didn't last longer!! Great work with the vid!! The editing was brilliant and extremely convincing and the music fit the situation perfectly!! Well done!

I watched most of it on Youtube, but then realized you worked so hard on your beat use and YouTube always screws the quality of that up, so I'm switching to Putfile. Be back for a full review in a little bit ...

Aww, you didn't have to dedicate the vid to me! I asked for one, because I enjoyed your first one (and looking at Mason is never a bad thing). I hope you didn't slave away on this vid for me or else I'd feel bad.
By the way, boy, you must've slaved and slaved away! Damn, that was sooooooooooooooo convincing. I completely believed that Shannon was dating both Charlie and Mason. You did a REALLY nice job with the DLM scenes because it's such a humorous show, but you made even the funny scenes of DLM angsty (e.g. "I've got illegals in my bum" scene, the scene where Mason is dressing after the drug search at the airport (who would've thunk that that could've been associated with him dressing after sex with Shannon - great idea!!)
The best part for me though is the end and this is why:

Holy f*cking shit!! Mason got so jealous that he bludgeoned Charlie to death, shoot poor Shannon, and then committed suicide! WHOA!!!!!!! What an unbelievably sick and twisted, yet unforeseen and great ending! Plus, it's so out of character for Mason, but I really believed that this vid-Mason would totally do something like that because of the way you built up the story and all the characters. Great job!
Soo, anyway, great beat use! And I really like the effects too. Shannon in the mirror on the "vanity" line and the picture-in-picture effect (is that what the effect is called since I want to get it myself) around 2:17.
Awesome work!!! I'm not putting a gun to your head, but if another DLM/Lost vid would appear in the future again, I'd be quite thrilled.
P.S. You didn't have to thank me for clip assistance; there weren't any clips from the Pilot in your vid and that's the only episode I gave you. lol.

BRAVO!! This was your best video yet! The scenes were very convincing and the ending was just.. I too am a DLM fan (I watch it on the Sci-Fi channel, sometimes, with my fellow nerds ) and I kinda fell in love with Mason for a while But the ending to this video was very uhh.. powerful And very convincing.

1. I also did a crossover in which Shannon is George's last call and becomes a grim reaper who takes out Charlie and Ana-Lucia, called "Shannon's Nightmare" You should check that out, too, if you like the idea of a Lost/DLM xover.
2. I LOVE DLM--but if you've only seen it on Sci-Fi, you're missing some of the greatest stuff and you simply HAVE to rent the DVDs!
3. Thank you SO MUCH! I'm really glad that you liked it! I was really worried that no one would even bother watching it because DLM is a ...dead... fandom by now (forgive the horrible pun )

Thank you so much! Yeah I don't know how I managed to make "I've got illegals in my bottom! *pout whine cry*" into a tearful "I miss you but I'm going to tell myself that I don't want you anymore" moment...I think I got really lucky with the cutting of it.

I am SO SO SO glad you like the ending, too! I was hideously worried that people would honest to God think I was some sort of freak and would never talk to me again after managing to put it together that way. Thank you so much for the compliment about canon!mason vs vid!mason!!!

Thank you Actually, Shannon-in-the-Mirror is the ONE effect I did not do by myself, so you'd have to consult Aislynn. She did it for me before I got Vegas, so I have no idea what she did. Sorreh

Yes I did, because in a few of my earlier passes before I sent it off to beta, I had used the Mason shows George Un-Mason/Un-George in the TV displays clip. Even though that piece didn't make the cut, you DID direct me to the LJ community where I downloaded all the eps to cut my clips. I never would have found it---so yes, thank you for clip assistance even if it was indirect *hugs*

I was watching this video again because I love it so much and I just had to leave another comment.
I LOVE the moment at about 00:25 - 00:27. Perfect use with the song. Plus the editing there is just so perfect. And the smash right after is awesome.
00:48 is still one of my favorite moments. Him walking out with the beats after shannon yells at him. SO convincing! And the door clicking! Good you left that in there!
1:05, LOVE. Really great job of constructing believable scenes here.
1:41 I really like the phone sequence. very believable. Shannon's body language is so good here that it works with the whole, "ah I shouldn't be calling him but I'm doing it anyway" thing.
2:03 - 2:08 ish (these times are approximate!) with the constructed scenes is SO good! Gah!
2:14 with Shannon walking away from him and then lamenting with the splitscreens there is SO effective. Another one of my favorite moments.
Seriously, Jen, this video is like watching a movie!
2:27 that shot of shannon is SO perfect for that moment in the song. Perfect!
Aw. 2:39-44 is THE BEST. My heart hurts when I see that part. In a GOOD way!
Mason's Homocidal/Suicidal spree at the end is so badass. What a GREAT vid! I love this and I ENVY your ability with beatuse!

I didn't do this video with Vegas, I did it with WMM. I just used Vegas to make a couple of the clips I needed.
