It begins

3x01 - A Tale of Two Cities Episode Discussion
Wednesday October 4, 2006
Spoiler:

Jack, Kate, and Sawyer are held in unique circumstances by the mysterious "Others" as they are now prisoners in their camp. Meanwhile, back on the beach, a struggle for leadership and direction begins as Hurley makes his way back home with bad news about the other members being captured. Lastly, flashbacks reveal more about Jack's past with his father and Sarah.



One simple rule this year: any info in this thread on an episode that hasn't been aired yet gets spoiler text, using the spoiler tags:

Thats why i'm glad I don't watch it when it airs on TV in the US. I preffer to watch it on my computer, with no breaks at all. And I can skip to the end before i've even seen the beginning

FAN-> misleading promos is one of the things that is consistent on the show.

Also, did anyone else feel the LITERALLY physical "lightning" between Kate and Sawyer when they saw each other? That was the best moment in the episode! And Im not an official "Skater", I just wanted to cry at the relief they felt on seeing someone they knew. HENRY DAMMIT YOURE NOT GETTING THAT BOAT YOU WEIRD ALIEN LOOKING FREAK!Also, do you SEE how they mess with your heads? It took them less than a day to break Jack!

Simply put: I enjoyed the premiere...maybe not as pizzazz, but I enjoyed it nonetheless.

Hm...

Spoiler:

What? No survivors on the beach? What happened in the hatch? Is the beginning of this season going to snail by as slowly as the beginning of last and keep us in suspense for any movement forward on the timeline until like the 20th episode?

I hate hate hate Skate...but it almost made me want to cry with relief when they got to see one another again. Now, let's get Jack to join the reunion and then let's go to the effing beach and hatch and see what's going on there, how about?



hopefully this season doesn't take me as long to begin to enjoy as last season did...

The next episode looks to be much better, let's be patient and see where it goes. It can be frustrating, but hey...LOST is back! Another crazy hiatus over, and I think after next week's episode, there will be a lot more optimism.

I thoguht it was great. Better than most of last year's episodes. Except the Jack flashback made me want to cry from boredom.

I thought it was pretty good but the commercials were kinda annoying! But It did surprise me very much at the beginning!!

Opening scene was amazing. They really do know how to open a series. Ethan and Goodwin it's so good to these those guys back! I hope we get more other flashbacks with them in this season.

Jack's flashbacks were pointless. I'm just glad that has to be it with his marriage now thank god! The skate in this ep was great. I especially enjoyed the look of pleasure from Sawyer when he took care of Kate by giving her the fish biscuit

Anyone else catch Tom saying you're not my type to Kate? Auselio has suggested this means he is gay

Overall it's an okay ep but not 'the best ep ever' as Auselio touted.
