Considering I was just chanting "Rip that whatzit" I seriously doubt I'll be throwing darts at the "who's lost it more" board... And no worries that my pitiful little excuse for a vid will be any competition for yours, BTW. I'm SO trailer-impaired that it's not even funny!

Rip that whatzit! Rip that whatzit!

Hey I was pretty bummed during making mine cause I wasn't trailer savvy. I am sure you will make a masterpiece Ais just take your time and pay attention to the music make sure you score that right and you're away.

LOL Awesome entry Pauly. Looked very creepy. I haven't seen that movie since I was just a wee youngin. Good thing I didn't see your version when I was little, it would've gave me nightmares for years.
Oh and I liked that scene you threw in there from Lady In The Water too, that tree creature thingy (I can't remember the name of it). Looked cool!

Great job!

*sigh* I was SO excited to have finally found some material other than Lost that I didn't stop to consider one small problem... The footage is really poor quality for making vids. You don't know notice it when you just watch the footage but I ran a test render of the first few seconds and crap is it...uh... crappy quality!!! Even rendering the vid at an insane size doesn't help. I should've realized that would be a problem since the entire 2 hour movie is about 235 MB total. In comparison, a good quality 44 minute Lost ep runs 350 MB. *smacks forehead*

Well, there goes all my plans for this and any future vids from this footage. *steams* Sorry, KC, that was all I had.

I do at last have a DVD drive and I do have the DVD of this movie...but I don't have a ripping program or have any earthly idea of how to do it.

*is really dumb*

I use a program called DVD Decryptor to rip the dvd but you can use ML's program I think. Then use a program called DVD2AVI to split it into a video file and the audio and then you'll have to reencode it with TMPEG or any kind of encoder into WMV or whatever you prefer to use.

DVD Decryptor:
http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/dvd_rippers/dvd_decrypter.cfm

You can get DVD2AVI here: http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/dvd_rippers/dvd2avi.cfm

TMPEG: http://www.tmpgenc.net/en/e_main.html

If you have any problems feel free to send me a pm.

Aw, thanks for all the links, hon! But I'd never be able to get all of those programs working right without trashing my computer (refers Paul to the above *is really dumb* comment). Since it's finally working right now, I just hate to rock the boat, you know?

Anyway, I'll keep all the links for future reference, just in case I decide to walk on the wild side and see if I can't totally destroy this CPU...

(I'm really SO really dumb about these sorts of things, I'm not just saying that! )

Thanks again! I'll just enjoy seeing the other entries!

Okay then :/ I am guessing this has been a bit of a hassle for you. Had you already done some of the vid with this crappy version?

These programs won't mess up your computer. They are free of spyware and DVD2AVi doesn't even need to be installed it is a stand alone program I am sure your computer can handle them.
