here I was expecting a good video... and I got was a UBER GREAT FANTASTIC one!
It was all amazing. Those first twenty or so seconds were great. Great idea using the door to the DHARMA place.
Loved people turned their heads to those lyrics
I especially enjoyed for some reason the part were the kids are kidnapped to the beat of the song
The bit around 2:09 with Bernard and the flashing black vid was awesome.
And I also loved the effects on it.
Overall... one of your best.
Grade: A++++ |

Polarbear: Thank you! Now, go to nighty-night!
MovieGuy: Thank you...for scaring me half to death! Now, thank you for real for the rest of the review! It was a different sort of challenge to use an entire episode (shout out to Warren for making that happen for me! ). I had a good time with those effects. The DHARMA thing was actually one of the final things I thought of. And *whispers* I thought it was kinda funny the way the kids got kidnapped to the beat as well. But don't tell anybody, 'kay?
Thank you both for reviewing so quickly!

That was awesome Aislynn! I can't believe the forsight you had into this thing, taking a song like that and fitting it into this story! The song fits so perfectly to the story of Ana and how things kept getting worse and worse, so bad that she wouldn't let herself hope for anything anymore lest she be let down (it fits PERFECTLY to wanting to "paint it black" )
From there you told the story of the castaways. I really liked the fact that it wasn't linear, just sorta mixed crazier and crazier until when it got to the Shannon scene where you couldn't possibly blame Ana Lucia for shooting (really loved how it kept twirling and twirling with the dizzying effects there too! beautiful!)
Now to watch again and pick up details
Well it's all one big art piece itself, so it's tough to take any one part, but I especially liked some of the following:
-"Like a newborn baby, it happens every day" - with the dead guy getting burried, liked how it sorta told Ana's feelings on the matter via the lyrics
-The scene where the Others are taking them all - it fit the beat so well!
-Eko breaking the branch to the beat - PRICELESS.
-as I said, the Shannon scene ruled.
-The climax is her fight with Goodwin! that was surprising, but it fits so well though! Aha! Do I detect use of the chicken catching scenes in the fight scene?
-Ana crying - perfect spot for it.
For outstanding editing and a PERFECT song for the occasion, I give this video the Locke seal of approval it's normally reserved for outstanding baby ;cradles and trebuchets, but this is one well-built video.
I hope everyone else enjoys it as much as I did!
Definitely one of your best Ais'. Not sure exactly where it falls, but it's up there! |

I still see credits!! ARGHHH!!!!
other than that, and your questionable taste in music, it's excellent. well I'm not really a Vanessa Carlton fan!
and this has got to be the best tailies video so far auntie.
I'd say Cry me a river is my number 1. _________________

Thanks for those other links Hobbes. As usual.
Awesome, awesome vid! This song really did suit the whole tailies story really well! And I loved the effects. Never have thought of using that "threshold" effect like that. Brilliant!
And I don't have a list, although I know you enjoy them. They're all together at number 1. _________________
