We've come up with a fun contest for October. We look forward to seeing what all of you come up with for this contest.

Contest Name: Lost Halloween

Contest Deadline: October 31st

The Details:

Halloween is the only holiday built around dressing up, playing pranks, and telling creepy stories.

The challenge is to create a scary story using the haunting scenes from Lost. You must create a scary story but it does NOT have to be a music video. Use whatever means of visual storytelling necessary to create your entry. Think about scary stories that you have heard and use those in your thoughts for your video.

Here are some tips. This is not a contest where cute clips belong. In this type of contest cute will count against you so be creative. Utilize the things the show has given us such as weird whispering voices, the island monster, the Others, the hatch, etc. If itâ€™s creepy and dark then it is fair game for you to use. Remember a coherent story is likely to do better then just a series of scary clips. Put some thought into your story.

The Rules:

Contest submissions should be entered through the Submit page and all regular submissions rules apply! The following rules apply only for this contest.

-Running time must not exceed 5:00.

-Be creative

-When entering your video on the Submit page, enter "October 2005 contest submission" for the description.

-Keep in mind that however you choose to host your vid, it must be available for download at least till the end of the month. If we cannot access your video at the time of judgment it will not be considered.

Since I'm trying to do a traielr, are we allowed to use not sary scenes to set up the rest of the vid? Like Hurley interviewing Ethan for the census?
