Fair warning then: It has lima beans in it. But I am not a fan of lima beans and I really like this; you can hardly taste them amidst everything else and so they come out kind of potatoey.

I am the opposite end of the spectrum. I have eaten haggis, insects, scrapple, and even McDonald's. I always thought I'd be good at the section of Fear Factor that involved eating, like, prairie oysters (look 'em up) or other similar, er, anatomical delicacies.

Of course, I can't really swim that well, so I'd be screwed in the inevitable water portion...

We call those Rocky Mountain Oysters where I'm from. I had a nibble. It was not for me.

LOL on q-pon, Heather! That actually makes me feel better about it because I'll bet that's just the southern way of saying it. I LOVE your accent! You should definitely do a vid!

Cool! Nik, I think I pronounce everything about the same as you, which makes sense since we're from the same part of the country and have both spent a lot of time in CO/NM.

Kate-- "Q-Pon" drives me insane, too.

Debbie, your accent is beautiful! It was fun hearing you say the different Scottish words, too.

I haven't seen any other name for "daddy long legs". I wonder where they call it something else?

haha I agree when I met you I didn't detect any kind of southern accent. You sounded just like me!

For some reason Floridians don't have a southern accent, I guess because they were never really part of the true south. We have some southern transplants, but most native Floridians I've met don't sound too different than you and me, except for maybe a few eastern differences. What's funny is I grew up calling soft drinks "pop" but now I call them "soda", which I guess is more of an eastern U.S. thing. (Kate?) I say "pajamas" as puh-jaw-mahs, even though I used to say "puh-jam-ahs". And weirdly, I grew up saying "Colo-rad-oh" but now I say "Colo-rah-do". Weird, huh? I think those are the only differences, though. I'm not sure if those are Floridian influences, eastern U.S. influences, or midwestern (from Steven).

Definitely Eastern US. Call it "pop" up here and people will mark you out instantly as a "midwesterner" (hint: everything past Buffalo is "midwest" until you get to, say, Nevada, hahaha.)

What do you guys call those circular-traffic-thingies? Around here, they're "rotaries," because we borrow the New England term. I know much of the US calls them "traffic circles," and the UK says "roundabout"...

Have no fear, Jemma! I will secretly record him if and when we meet. Expect it to be posted mid-June!

(Just kidding, Paul! <3 )

Aw, d'oh! Would love to hear your accent, Paul! But I understand. That kind of thing makes me nervous, too.

Kate--I grew up calling them roundabouts. Not sure if that is a regional thing or a reflection of the fact that we didn't have many of them, but my parents visited the UK a lot, so probably just called it the term they were used to.

They are all over the place here. Sometimes (I kid you not) two in a row!

You can always tell the tourists thanks to their having no clue how to handle 'em, haha. That's what you get from never moving the roads since 1700-whatever.

I've noticed that roundabouts are a popular thing to incorporate into new developments. We have one at our new shopping center (and I live in a really small town) and the small Colorado town I grew up in has a few now, too. And actually, now that I think about it there are two at another nearby shopping center, too. It's like the rest of the country just took three-hundred years to catch on to how helpful they are. LOL!

They're helpful so long as people know how to navigate them.

And, as H.L. Mencken once said...
