I needed a S1 thread of TWD to stay spoiler-free
I'm up to 1x04 now. The fourth episode was like a punch in the stomach. It started out being all fun, with the "gangstas" taking care of the old people (I was laughing so much at that, how adorable!!! ) and ended being a real tear-jerker. Andrea's sister was bitten. It really broke my heart
I kinda like Daryl. He's a real jerk, but I can't help but liking him somehow. Apart from him, Andrea, Dale and Glenn are my favourite characters so far.
I'm not sure if I like the triangle storyline between Rick, Shane and Lori. (Rick doesn't even know about it yet). I'm not a fan of triangle storylines and I'm not sure if I want to punsh Shane in the face or if I should actually feel sorry for him.
Great show so far though. Definitely watching the rest of S1! _________________

Daryl is my new true love lol. Boy can do no wrong It snuck up on me how much I loved him!
I love Dale, Andrea and Glenn too! and Rick and Shane more as we go into season 2, hated Lori season 1 but season 2 she's becoming more likable to me
The triangle drew me in eventually; I am so not hoping for another Jack/Kate/Sawyer fiasco Shane has some strange things going on as the eps go on, but the writers keep doing things and making him do things that make me feel sorry for the poor boy! _________________

I've always liked Dale. I'm a sucker for an old wise guy thrown in there. People on spoilertv were saying he's creepy how he's obsessed with Andrea or something like that Dunno why people can't accept a male and female relatonship that isn't based on sex.
Andrea and her sister were great. It was hard to get some character backstory on them and then to have them torn apart.
I've always felt bad for Shane. He is bascially screwed now that Rick is back. I really like Rick too though and Andrew Lincoln is probably doing the best ethnic american accent ever it's pretty flawless and not bad acting too
Daryll and Glen are great. It's a real nice mix of characters.

Weird :S I hope they don't go that route. I don't think it's impossible for a younger woman to fall for an older man but in this case it would be weird because he is basically a father replacement for her.

Yeah; it was quite confronting to flip the page and there they are screwing but they havent played the replacement father thing out in the comics like they did in the show so its not as weird in the comics as it would be now for them to hook up, imo

I hope its just a bad phase, and he'll get thumped in the head and be a good guy. maybe he needs to hit rock bottom to be a good guy again. What does Phil Dunphy say, "can't get back on that horse unless you fall off"? _________________
I'm not a fan of the triangle but I also don't view it as a triangle either. It's not like Kate/Sawyer/Jack at all. I don't think she's in love with Shane; unlike Kate who had true feelings for both men. You didn't know who Kate was going to be with (At least not in the first few seasons). She's obviously in love with her husband and it's probably one of the reason WHY she slept with Shane; she feels guilt for not going back for her husband or doing something different to have prevented his 'death'.
I think Lori was so lost, afraid, and scared that she used Shane for comfort. She wanted to go in a place away from the dark and forget. And he was that for her; that's all he was though. I think if she loved him her going back to her husband would have been harder for her; and I don't think it is.
I'd like it to be wrapped up because it makes Shane look like a major douche that he refuses to let it go; or understand that she doesn't want a relationship with him. I get he loves her; but she's obviously not in love with him; and has a son with her husband.
But seriously who has sex with their dead husband's best friend right after he's dead? I find that just low.

Couldn't agree more on that!
There weren't too many Dale/Andrea scenes so far, but I agree that it's more of a father/daughter-type of relationship and I think that both accept it as such. I do anyways and I like it the way it is.
Also, I agree with Paul on that, I love having "an old wise guy" on this show

Season 2 is gonna have 13 eps, but its going on hiatus after 7 eps until Feb next year :S:S Ep 2x04 airs on Sunday nights in the US I think? I get it on Monday around lunchtime _________________

He also took care of Carl and Lori in place of Rick aswell and now he has lost that role completley. I hope it gets brought out soon too though. _________________
