Well, maybe it's a text from the Others? Or "Adam & Eve"? Something that makes them fell even worse about the island... something like that?
I'm still going with my text-thing, it's the best idea I've heard so far...
But if someone comes up with something even brighter, tell me

OK, here's what I think:
It's a text that says something we've never seen before: maybe a message from other castways, or st like that. But still it's text, and we see text every day and we see it when we are reading the hint.
Someone questioned about Kristin's "probably seeing it right now": what if you read the hint for someone, like I did to my sister? Then she wasn't seeing text, right?
And, the word text ends and begins with the letter T...

NEW THEORY:

I saw the clip from season 2 (http://picapic.net/media/CCXWRZ) a few days ago, and I can't get over that there are voices inside the Hatch! kate is going down the Hatch when (at least) I hear voices that says "where" or something... sound a bit like Danielle!
Well, anyway:
suddenly Kate's face changes and she says STOP! I think that it is a person that hols her leg or something!!!
And after that the line that carries her snaps while Locke is holding it. I do not think it snaps by itself, someone or something snapped it...

This makes me believe in a new theory if mine:
people is inside of it.

I know it doesn't end and begin with the same letter, but hey, it is something we see every day and may have seen while reading the hint.
I'm thinking that there may be another word like

SURVIVORS

a tet could change their way to think but their way to live there
but more people wold change their lifes

a text would be to simple
I mean geez we are waiting for that damn hatch for half a year and than they find a silly text down there?

They alread think that they won't get off this island, so a ' HAHA you'll nevr come home' wouldn't change anything

Or it is text, and they find out it's all one big experiment, and they're the subjects....

OR the text just has all of their names in it, and is written in stone that they judge must be hundreds of years old

I heard it was something along the lines of "It will completely change the feel of the show". If we suddenly find out that they all really WERE meant to be there, then that makes it a big discovery. If you're looking for changing their way of life, then a Refrigerator would sure do that

We already know that is has a reason why they're LOST
and it also isn't and accident, that some people live and some people died.
They have to find something that helps them.
