Lost Video Island

As all of you are aware we have had to shut the site to submissions temporarily while we continue to clean-up from the hack at the beginning of the month. Which means that the normal way of submitting Contest Videos won't work this month. To make sure that no one's hard work gets left out of the contest we'd like to get all of the entries in one place. Please send all of your entries to lvicontests@gmail.com with the subject heading of "August Contest Submission" . Entries sent to lostvideo@gmail.com will NOT be counted in the contest.

Enchirito is working hard on the site and it SHOULD be back up for submissions sometime this week. We'll keep you guys updated on that as we learn more from him. If you have any questions e-mail us or PM me and we'll answer all of your questions.

We apologize for this inconvenience and we greatly appreciate your patience while we deal with the last effects of the hack.

Now with the submit page back up: http://www.lostvideo.net/submit.php anyone who wants to send in their videos via the submit form may do so. We'll judge any that come in via the email or the submit section so don't worry. If you've sent in your vid via the email already but want to help out, then submitting the video again with the submit form would be a big help

Since we're gonna make you guys do that anyway once the judging is up

either that or upload them all ourselves like back in the ol' days lol.

Well, I'm definitely not going to finish the video in time. Oh well. I'll continue working on it as just a season recap video but not for the contest

So okay, not to sound pushy at all, but this is the first contest I've ever entered with you guys....when do we get to find out what you guys think? Cause I have no idea how this works at this point.

Whenever they get all the entries in and judge them, they post the top 3 along with I think a 4 & 5 honorable mention. (Am I right?)

Anyway, usually the due date is the last day of the month at midnight pacific time (right?) but because of the mixup with the submit function it was extended this time.

We're almost done with the voting. I just finished my vote... it took me roughly 3 hours

Just a couple more votes and we'll have the results.

To add to KC's statement, sometimes when there are enough entries, we have judge's picks as well, which are basically honourable mentions to those that just really go the extra mile and show some big originality.
