And wasn't Keamy nuts? Great stuff.
I always like Sayid episodes--character aside--because he is direct, like Keamy said: The plot always forges ahead, unlike in episodes of certain other characters I could name.

Keamy was awesome. He fits perfectly into the role of mob boss so well haha
Yeah I can't think of a bad Sayid episode.. some people didn't like the greater good but I loved it.
I'm guessing one of the characters you hinted at was the one who was ignored by Flocke at the end lol *nod to Evil Sayid* *nod to Evil Claire* and *eh* to Kate

Wow. That'll take some time to digest.
I'm hoping Sayid can redeem himself. On my wishlist is that he gets a little peace; the writers, it seems, don't necessarily agree.
I read a book in college, Jack Shaheen's Reel Bad Arabs, which I've been meaning to mention for a while. In many ways Sayid bucks the trend for your nameless, faceless Middle Eastern antagonist, because he does have a lot of positive qualities and is a likeable character.
I'm hoping the writers don't fall prey to the habit in US media of ultimately demonizing a positive portrayal of a character like that.

Clearly Flocke and I share a taste for characters! And yes, she was the main one I had in mind, obviously. Her episodes draaaaaaaaaaag.

On tonight's episode:
Spoiler:
I'm just gonna be the first to defend Jacob here.... I don't for a second believe that the man who brought Dogen to the island was ACTUALLY Jacob. It was totally Flocke/MIB/evil incarnate/Smokey. (This guy has too many names. ) Maybe he SAID his name was Jacob, but that doesn't mean it was.
And man, I was so hoping Sayid would get a happy ending with Nadia in the alt-universe. I'm giving up hope for a happy end for the poor guy. I'm iffy with what's going on with Sayid on-island.... It seems like he's going dark side, but at the same time it seems like he's too smart to believe FLocke... My dad said, while we were watching, that maybe Sayid is PRETENDING to be on FLocke's side, only to get close enough to kill him later. I'm holding out hope on that theory. I don't want Sayid to be a bad guy!
The very last scene in this ep was so.... I dunno, symbolic and epic. I don't think Kate and Claire, at least, will come back from supporting FLocke. I think our hope for "the good guys" is gonna lie with Ilana, Sun, Miles, Frank, Jin, Jack, Hurley, and Richard. And, oddly enough, Ben. I really can't see Ben EVER going over to support FLocke. Which seems a bit strange to me, just cuz for 2 1/2-ish seasons Ben's been an antagonist. But it's also awesome!!

Sayid is the man. Great Episode. I loved when the scrawny guy got his throat slit. I called that before it happened. It sucks that Dogen was only alive for 5 episodes though. I really started to like his character. That Sayid Vs. Dogen fight was totally awesome. Sayid was so bad ass when he took out Keamy and his whole crew, I called that before it happened too. It was nice to see the others get what they had comin to them at the temple. I thought crazy Claire was gonna kill Kate though. This war is starting to get interesting with just Jack, Hurley, Ben, Miles, Lapidus, Sun, Illana, and Richard on Jacobs team. Everyone else seems to be with Smokey now. I would like to know what the hell Smokey was talking about when he told Sayid that he could have Nadia back Not really sure what that means. I wonder what happened to Jin on the island and why he was being held by Keamy off the island? I'm glad that the show seems to finally be moving away from the temple. It was starting to get a little stagnant with that story. My favorite part of this episode was when Ben ran away from Sayid. It was hilarious to see Ben creeped out by someone, like everyone is usually creeped out by him. I'm looking forward for what's to come. _________________

The last few mins was so creepy with the song and all dead bodies! I loved it! Although I wasn't too interested in Sayid's flash sideways, except for the end with Keamy and Jin! Keamy is kooky! I loved his little ramble about eggs.
oh yeah and I agree! Ben creeped out by Sayid was awesome stuff! _________________

OMG!! CLAIRE SAID SAWYER!!!!!!!!! First time in 6 effing seasons that's happened! Thank you!!!!!!!!!
awww, from elation to heartache in the first minute Sayid/Nadia reunion, and then she's married to his brother ;( but seeing Sayid with the kids was too adorable I see an AU vid in the future!!
i heart miles! Good Miles/kate and miles/claire stuff! "still hot, though." lmao i loved the little smile kate gave miles cuteness!!
that fight between Sayid and Dogen was absolute BADASS!! LOVED IT! I full on love Sayid, this ep proved how epic Sayid/Naveen are!! and how much more he needs to be in the show
Claire singing 'catch a falling star' was so sad, i loved it at the end. so haunting Yay for the Kaire reunion! I'm glad it went that way and that Claire now knows the truth ;P
But where the hell is Jin??? still sleeping in Claire's digs maybe? I squeed when he came up off-island!!
Keamy!! I knew that'd be him when Kevin's name came up in the guest cast
Dogen and his son so sad
Kaire in the hole... femslash version of being caught in a net??
I have a theory now... Flocke is going to somehow put the on-island Losties into their sideways world bodies. so claire will wake up still pregnant, Sayid will still have Nadia, Dogen will get to be with his son, etc. _________________

OMFG Ben better not die!!!!!
Spoiler:
Yeah, I'm gonna be pissed. I don't want him 'facing his mortality' or whatever they said it was....
This episode was oh so much better than the last few. Not that we got many answers, but lots of action! Action! Sayid! That's the best Sayid there is!!
It was fun to see Keamy again. He was actually even kind of likable this go-around! I loved how fake-friendly he was being asking Sayid if he wanted eggs
So my sis has this interesting theory and after tonight, I'm wondering if it's kind of on the money:
Basically, she thinks that Jacob is this puppet master - he's been around forever and he pretty much messes around with people, not for the benefit of the island, but for his own amusement. Flocke/MIB is one of these people he brought to the island and he sees through Jacob's motives, which is why he wants to get off the island. So he's really not 'evil incarnate' - he's basically just sick of Jacob's crap & wants to go home....
I think it's an interesting theory, and perhaps the not so obvious thing - it's an obvious set up for Jacob to be good & MIB to be evil, but what if that's not really it? _________________
I want to know what the point is of putting people in the water if they're just going to come back 'wrong'. It just rather pointless to me. If he's going to be given a pill to be killed, why bother.
I wouldn't call what happened with Sayid and Dogen a 'fight'. It's flat out just murder.
I don't think Jacob is evil. I mean the whole theory that MIB is just a guy that wants off the island, I don't buy it. I don't believe he wants off the island. When he was first introduced when talking to Jacob he came off as not liking people, and he doesn't want people on the island.
MAN IN BLACK: They come. They fight. They destroy. They corrupt. It always ends the same.
Jacob seemed to have faith in humanity, but the Man In Black doesn't seem too. I don't think he wants to share the island, and I don't think he views the island as just 'an island' either.
I am thinking he can't kill certain people on the wall. He has to recruit people to do his dirty work for him.
Spoiler:
I really doubt Ben would die. I mean why state it in a spoiler? Just like Sawyer falling from the cave's ledge...he lived by catching onto something. It's just a marketing tool to reel people into watching it.
