All I have to say right now is OH CLAIRRRREEE! NOOOOOOO!!!!!!! I didn't want her to be crazy or dark....maybe they can still save her.
LOL, only Emilie de Ravin could manage to still look beautiful covered in mud with dirty, tangled hair.
Episode just about made me cry three times - when Claire was having contractions and said Aaron's name, when Sawyer said he was going to propose to Juliet, and when that guy was all, "It happened to your sister." For a minute I thought he was going to say, "It happened to me," which would have been way less sad, imo.
Really liked this episode, shockingly. _________________ art by me&tammy

I was very unimpressed with this episode. Barely any answers given and it just seemed to move really slowly. I figured since there is only like 14 episodes left, that they would be giving us a few answers each episode. But I feel like we learned nothing from this episode except for that Sayid and Claire are infected with something, and we still don't know what that is. I'm also really sick of seeing this triangle shit between Kate,Jack, and Sawyer. It's really just gotten ridiculous now that they've dragged it out for 6 seasons. I laughed my ass off when Sawyer just walked by Kate at the end without saying 2 words to her. Now she'll probably run back to Jack and try to get with him again. I actually thought that when Kate said she came back to the island to find Claire, that the writers would stop with all this triangle bull shit and actually make Kate a likable character again. I hope they get her character back on track. It also sucked that we didn't get to see Smokie at all or figure out where he's taking Richard. I'm really looking forward to next weeks episode because it looks like Smokie might be giving a few answers to Sawyer. Anyways, I'm done rambling. I still love Lost. _________________

Wish in one hand, spit in the other... you know the rest. It's a shame that the triangle/past-rectangle kills any sense of individual characterizations any of the three may have had (and Sawyer's one of my favorites.) I also don't think a Kate FB was warranted. We could have got the same information, more interestingly, in a Claire FB or (what the heck) an Ethan/"Goodspeed" FB, and I say that as someone who isn't particularly intrigued by Claire (although compared to Kate...)
I also wish the writers would stop making Sayid a pawn for the plot, as it were. Yes, so he's probably the biggest threat to the Temple Others, since after six seasons he appears to be the only one with a functioning set of brain cells (perhaps Hurley also, at times.) But really, can't they find a more effective way to note this besides making him utterly useless and not really skeptical of the medicine if Jack says it's OK? He seemed to have the chutzpah to go up against Jack in prior seasons, and now he hasn't got a qualm as long as Jack says the drugs are fine. Come on, Sayid, you're brighter than that. I also am not terribly interested in the whole "prevent darkness from taking over the ex-torturer" plotline. I think we've dealt with that already, in every single Sayid-centric FB that we've had over the course of the show. I like him better kicking down doors to Others' huts, making rudimentary compasses, and finding three-toed statues "disconcerting." _________________ I saw a werewolf drinking a pina colada at Trader Vic's. of course, Claire scenes, I loved the ep!! Emilie needs to be in this show; she's so effing good!! I wasn't expecting 'it happened to your sister', that was a shocker!!
I got bored by the Temple stuff, nothing really happened there at all. We all knew Sayid was 'claimed' didn't we?
Loved the skate scene on the pier; had me crying Also cried when Kate opened Claire's bag and saw all that baby stuff
I didnt like Kate's 'i think you should keep him', it annoyed me :S Dr. Goodspeed threw me off completely!
Triangle stuff didn't bother me as much this ep. Kate went with sawyer because she wants to find Claire; and Sawyer is still heartbroken over Juliet.
LOVED crazy!claire I knew she'd be 'rousseau esq', laying the traps and all I wanna see her meet up with on-island Kate and have a showdown
When oh when is Claire gonna meet charlie? at the hospital maybe? Maybe her getting Charlie's ring back on-island will dissolve the crazy a little _________________

Yeah, I was kind of underwhelmed by this episode and not just cause of the lack of F-Locke & Ben....
Spoiler:
1. Yeah, it really did seem to move pretty slow and we didn't really get many answers. I think we all pretty much figured Sayid was 'claimed' or possibly possessed by something...and I think it obvious what that was when Japanese dude blew that dust on Sayid then hooked him up to electricity....isn't there something else on the island that's a big cloud of electrical dust.....that looks like smoke? Dur.
2. On that note - was I the only one annoyed that Sayid can dish out the torture like a pro, but when he has to take it, he turns into a little girl bitch? It kind of made me laugh (ho ho, Irony!) but at the same time - Sayid is usually a pretty tough cookie. He got electrocuted by Rousseau & beaten up plenty of times and he was almost "please sir, can I have another?" but then all of a sudden he goes little girl bitch at a little electrocution & branding? It just didn't make sense to me.
3. Triangle needs to die NOW. It's not pertinent to the story and it's really worn out it's welcome at this point. I know Kate cares about Sawyer, but if she really gave a shit about him, she would have left him alone. He didn't want her to follow him, he didn't even care that she did. He didn't want her there - he wanted nothing to do with her and yet she keeps nipping at his heels like something is going to change & he'll need her. This is annoying!! I mean seriously - was she really crying because she felt bad and knew she couldn't do anything for him, or was she just crying because the revelation that he wanted to marry Juliet made her realize he was done with her? Either way, she was crying for herself, not for him.
4. Speaking of crying - Sawyer broke my heart. Poor guy. Josh Holloway has been so fantastic so far this season....but that scene on the dock..man, it killed me.
5. So on-island Kate is annoying me. Alt-Timeline Kate is kind of tolerable to me - mainly because she reminds me of Season 1 Kate, and Season 1 Kate was pretty awesome & not needy. She was a bad-ass. I was almost a little disappointed when she started feeling remorseful over Claire's things, but then again - she brought them back & helped Claire out at the hospital, when she totally didn't need to. That was pretty bad-ass of Kate, I gotta admit.
6. I think the biggest shocker was the reveal of Ethan at the hospital!! What's he doing there? Obviously, this means the others somehow got off the island before it flooded....so maybe it wasn't the bomb that sunk the island? Maybe it was something else?
7. Rousseau Claire is awesome. I can't wait to see more of her. Except owwww....poor Jin with the beartrap!!

Yeah I think it was the ash that smokey don't like so they were seeing if he reacted negatively to it. The episode did drag somewhat but it was a Kate episode after all lol what can we expect?

Absolutely. It always breaks my heart to see Josh like this as he's said in interviews he's imagining his own wife dead :S He should be up for an emmy this year!

Yep! I never thought the bomb would sink the island anyway... that's just crayzee! Just thought it would somehow indirectly cause it's sinking. I was so happy to see Ethan and he was super nice hehe I think he didn't join the others this time round and managed to get off with his dad or something. That certainly makes Ben being alive more viable _________________

I totally agree with all of this. Sawyer has basically been telling Kate to fuck off this season and she still just won't leave him alone. It's really annoying that the writers keep making Kate go after Sawyer when it's completely not believable that she would actually be trying to get with him right after he buried the woman he loved and he was gonna ask to marry him. Kate was such a great character in the first season but the writers have really made her winey and annoying since then. I really hope they give her character something else to do this season other than going after Jack and Sawyer. I think Sawyer said it best in this episode "Maybe we're all just meant to be alone". I really would prefer that at this point. On a positive note, Josh Holloway really has been doing by far his best acting in this season. _________________
