What are some easy Photoshop techniques that will make portraits look soft and polished? I'm trying to fiddle around with Photoshop a bit, and I'd like to know some of your tips and tricks and favorite effects for making nice portraits. What are your go-to techniques?

My new computer was finally installed with the Photoshop (as well as was the old one)... So i've 2 photoshops now LOL (and they're finally english! I can't even start telling you how irritating it is to get a translated into russian photoshop after using the english one for 5 years)...

So, i was just checking if i could still remember what did what...
