Next months contest is one that will probably take a fair amount of thought and work. So we've decided to post this a week early to give everyone extra time to work on there entries. This should be a fun contest just to see how everyone pieces together the highlights of the season.

Contest Name: Lost Season One Recap

Contest Deadline: August 31st

The Details:

Season One brought mystery, intrigue, and intricate storylines. As fans we were introduced to our main characters and the pasts that have shaped them into who they are. Weâ€™ve seen them battle their demons and battle to survive. Friendships and romances have emerged in the lives of the characters. Some have taken journeys of self-discovery and others have journeyed into the jungle only to emerge changed. Weâ€™ve seen lives lost and new life born. Season One has taken us through an incredible journey from â€œPilotâ€ to â€œExodus pt. 3â€ the story never stopped or dulled.

The point of this challenge is to recap the highlights of Season One. Make it so that someone just finding out about the show can understand and follow it come Season Two. You must include ALL main characters (Jack, Kate, Shannon, Boone, Charlie, Claire, Sawyer, Walt, Michael, Sun, Jin, Locke, Hurley, and Sayid). It is your own personal choice if you include the supporting characters but you MUST use all main characters and highlight them even if just briefly.

Here are some tips. Try and keep the story as chronological as you can. Itâ€™ll be confusing to someone new if you jump around through the episodes. You only have a certain amount of time so make careful choices in the clips you use. Try and pick out the highlights of the season. If you use flashback clips then try and do it in an obvious way that the viewer understands what is going on.

Everyone that enters will be entered in a drawing to win a LOST Season 1 (Region 1) DVD Set!

The Rules:
Contest submissions should be entered through the Submit page and all regular submissions rules apply! The following rules apply only for this contest.

-Running time must not exceed 10:00 or one song with a minimum of 3:00.

-Has to coherently tell the story of Season One

-Use ALL main cast members

-Be creative

-When entering your video on the Submit page, enter "August 2005 contest submission" for the description.

-Keep in mind that however you choose to host your vid, it must be available for download at least till the end of the month. If we cannot access your video at the time of judgment it will not be considered.

Could we do a recap of just the flashbacks?

I don't think s beause he fasacks is only about the charcters, and we should make a film summery of the last season ( that's how I got it >>)

Introducing the characters alone takes three minute at least and I have to tell aabout the hatch, monster, Boone's death, and Danielle in 7 minutes?!

Wow, so yeah...before anyone has any panic attacks maybe I should clarify something. You don't have to hit EVERY highlight of the season. Pick the big things, pick the important things, pick that things that aren't going to keep you up at night wondering how you're going to fit a full season recap into 10 minutes. The big thing in the rules is that you have to highlight every main character at least once.

I have faith in all of you. Just follow your natural vidding instinct and it'll all work out.

My natural vidding instinct can't figure out how to keep important storylines and highlight all 14 cast members

I swear I'm giving up.

Hmm...Harry just told me about this contest and it does sound like fun and all but l don't know if l will be entering. But if l do, l'm either gonna do the Switchfoot song "Meant To Live" or that Rob Duncan one "Chosen" from BTVS. So l might do it still, l got alot of time to think about it anyway.
