I've been staring down my latest H.I.C. vid and I just can't seem to get anywhere. I found this fantastic spanish trip-hop song that's just very sexy. I've got limited material to work with so I was thinking it'd be easy, but it's been months since I started this thing.

I was wondering what everyone else did to get over their own vidder's block. Maybe it would help others besides me when they just get creatively stuck. So, what are your secrets? Caffeine? DVD marathons?

Hey, I know what you mean about vidders block tis so annoying.

What I usually do is find something that I really want to work with whether it's a song or fandom, but if I can't seem to get anywhere with the vid normally I watch other vids for insipiration to help me finish mine

But I also usually plan a vid out before hand so I have an idea of what to with it

If I get vidders block, I usually take a break from the vid for awhile, work on other stuff, maybe even other fandoms. Then I come back to the vid, decide if it's worth finishing, and if it is, then I get back to work on it.

I hate vidders block . I usually try and switch it up between videos. I usually do one fandom, then once I finish that video, I usually do a different fandom, that way I don't get blocked as easily. But when I do get blocked, I usually just leave that video alone for a while, and finally when I do get back to it, I find that's easier to work on.

Yeah for me...if I get stuck then that's pretty much it for the video....I know it won't get finished...I usually vid really fast and ideas come easy, but when they don't', I take it as a sign that its time to start something new...sorry that's not really what you wanted to hear but for me there is nothing that can get me over vidders block, except for coming up with something new...oh and I usually come up with all my idea when I go running in the morning...haha...maybe you should start running It clears your head!

I'd just try watching/listening to what inspired you in the first place. I get inspired alot when I watch TV, just a random suggestion
