LVI’s Annual Tournament is just around the corner! To go along with the more interactive LVI 5.0, we have decided this year to let YOU, the vidders, decide which of your videos deserve a spot in the tourney! You may choose any of your videos that have received both a Gold Viewer Pick & a Council Pick, submitted between October 25th, 2006 and September 30th, 2007. The number of entries is based on your vidder ranking:
Expert Vidders & Council Members: 3 entries
Advanced Vidders: 2 entries
Intermediate & Novice Vidders: 1 entry
You may post your choices here in this thread (one post only per vidder, please!), or if you’d prefer your choices be kept private until the tourney, send a PM to LVI Council with “2007 Tournament Entries” as the subject! You must have your videos choices submitted by Oct. 20!!! (new and final deadline!!) Enter today! |

Are the videos we submit used for the big tournament AND the open vote (with categories) or just the general tournament?

These are strictly for the main Tournament. The Open Polls candidates are chosen by us, your friendly neighborhood Council Members.  |

Usually I just check my outbox folder and if it's empty, then all the PMs I've sent have been received. Maybe someone in the Council has a better, more sophisticated answer than that, though

Sorry, I have another question.
How will you guys account for the people that have gold vids, but don’t come here often and don’t post their picks? Will you pick it for them or will they not participate? Also will all your picks be guaranteed a spot? |

I think it will pretty-much be "Don't enter at your own risk". If we don't hear back from someone, then there's no guarantee they'll be in the tourney. But we will go through what's left and put in any really exceptional ones and try to fit in as many as we can before reaching one of our magic numbers (that allows for a clean multi-leveled tourney). Unfortunately, there are a lot of vids - we're expecting about 130-170 - and the more there are, the harder this tourney will be to pull off without being very boring and tedious  . So basically, if someone isn't around enough to enter their vids, then we may be cutting them from the tourney in hopes that it will improve the experience of everyone else.
But once again if there are some really amazing vids that we know have a really good shot at winning it, it doesn't matter if the vidder shows up or not lol. So hopefully all your favorites will still be in play.
