I thought I'd start this thread for people who are feeling low for any reason whether it's an argument with a parent, a friend's moving away, a vid gone horribly wrong or something stupid say here and we can try and cheer each other up

And my something stupid is that I was sorting out my clips in to seasons and I was going through all the Chaire clips and it was kinda like fast forwarding through all their time together. Kinda made me sad since I was listening to a sadish song on my ipod.

Anyway, feel free to express how you're feeling as long as you don't mind and we can try and cheer you up and sort out probs =)

Thanks Borislava! Yes, this thread's a good oppurtunity to discuss problems and have them sorted out by people who may have had similar experiences.

For example, I start year ten on Tuesday and I'm really nervous

Wonderful thread, I'm sad all of the time..but actually I'm not really right now! Teehee, but yeah this thread is great to help everyone out.

Good luck Jemma, don't be nervous, I'm a worry wart and I worry about everything..and I learn to just say "hey, it's going to be fine." I don't want to go back to school!

Thank you, Kate. I get sad alot too. I think it'd be more healthy to start thinking as life as some sort of challenge. For example take whatever life throws at you and if you live through it you've won and it'd make you more confident. I've done this 3 times already so I don't know why I'm so nervous. Though year ten actually is a big step, we're changing tutors and buildings! I have a new locker which I had a look at last term and it doesn't lock properly So I won't be bringing my ipod in In year 9 I walked to school alot on my own, kinda made me unhappy so I started cycling with my sister and a friend but my bike kept breaking and the peddle kept coming off Talk about bad luck.

Yeah anywayz, there's always anti-anxiety stuff I could take and as long as I'm with friends or Natz I'll get through it Am I overeacting?

You are NOT over reacting. Poor Jemma, I would walk to school with you. Teehee, my bus is annoying I can't wait in 1 year, we're getting a new bus driver, woot!

Anyways, I over react all of the time. I worry if I eat too much, I'm like "Is it okay that I'm eating this" hehe, or if I'm not doing anything all day and I feel guilty, so I'm always worrying, but I've learned to kind of control it.

I over react if someone jokes around with me

Aw, *hugs* That made me smile. Thank you =)

I used to take the bus! In year 7, once I was late and we saw the bus drive past Twas embarrasing. But then we moved. I worry about food all the time. I usually don't eat my dinner because I snack on comfort food! Well, I don't usually snack unless there is something to snack on. I mostly make myself a milkshake or something I used to eat alot because when we first moved..I don't know..I just felt hungry and empty all the time But Im better now. Sometimes we eat because we're bored. It'd probably be good to distract yourself so you don't think about it-

Sorry, I just smelt something burning and realised I left my straightening iron on Oops.

Anyway, I'd just stick a DVD on or something to distract myself from thinking about food But I'd never go on a diet. I don't think anyone should go on a diet. I believe people should just control what they eat, not starve themselves.

Me too. I get upset over the stupidest things. I get angry with people for offending people I don't even know. We need to calm down LOL. It'd probs me best to tell someone when they bother you with jokes. It's like training a dog, it's the only way they'll learn. Lol.

I have missed the bus plenty of times, and mostly when I was younger the bus driver would stop for me, but then in middle school our new driver never stopped, and when she did she would never be happy about it!

Yeah, it's hard for me unless I'm not hungry, to not eat while watching a movie! I'll need a sweet after salty or a salty after sweet...annoying habit.

LOL, not good to have an iron on

People should never strave them selves, that's terrible to think about.

I do need to calm down, I hate how I'm so sensitive over jokes about me! I'm glad someone feels the same way!

Oh yeah, I'm terribly sensitive and shy. It sucks. And living in a country where people assume you're from the same country as them doesn't help because I can't speak German. Most speak English but still, they're people I don't know!

I'm the same actually I like to eat while watching a movie. It helps I'm lazy because I'd probably be too lazy to get up and get something xD Anyway if I'm watching something like Friends I probably won't get up because I love Friends and won't wanna miss it Lol. Plus I always have a craving for something sweet and go to grab a biscuit or something so I should stop asking mum to buy them

Of all the things that get me emotionally upset, global warming would have to rank at #1. Any time, hearing about the potential consequences for us is the most depressing thing ever. I'm trying to think and debate on this subject, and I was just watching Bill Maher's talk show with the candidate Mike Gravel on it with some other guests, and he claimed that (in the case that the ice caps melt releasing more methane than anything we could produce) humans wouldn't even be alive in a hundred years. We'd be cooked off the planet by then (according to him). This is a really sticky subject to talk about, and I really don't want to get into a debate about whether it's real or not, because I really do believe there's no question about it. And it wouldn't help at all, just muddle things up even more. Just.....anyone having a similar experience as I am? I have such little faith in people dealing with world problems as it is right now, I have no hope for actually stopping global warming. Which is basically saying I won't live a long, happy life. If I even know what to believe or do, that is. It's all confusing.

I apologize in advance for getting this thread into political(ish) territory... it's just what's really eating on my mind right now.

Humans, the most dangerous species on the planet. In the past hundred years, we've managed to screw ourselves over quite royally. You'll get no argument from me, and you should get no argument from other people, but that's unfortunately not the case. In my way of thinking, the survival of our species not be drummed around just for politics. This should be an issue on which left, right, conservative, liberal, socialist, libertarian - all should be able to find common ground. This should be something that concerns all sides of politics equally, but it's not, because we're stupid.

Unfortunately, we think we're smart enough to undo or outdo the consequences of what we've done, and we're just not. Right now, we've got a Hobson's choice of doing whatever we can do, but that's very plainly not enough.

Here's where you may start to think my opinions get a little far afield, but read this with a straight face (I speak as someone who's got a few high-level astronomy classes under my belt, which isn't worth much, but it's worth something): Honestly, unless we develop space travel and terraforming of the moon at a much faster rate, we'll be very screwed very shortly. We have caused irreversible changes on this planet. Our only option will be to leave the planet, and that's speaking in the time of probably our (collective) grandchildren's lifetimes. We should be a good deal more technologically advanced than we are now in that arena, but thanks to no funding for space programs, we're not. The problem is, we have no other options once we screw over this planet, if we can't move to another.

We seem to think some giant deus ex machina (sry Locke) will come out of the sky and save us, but what if there's nothing worth saving by that point? Sorry; this isn't exactly encouraging, but I agree, anyway.
