You can do either! A scene from a movie like your favourite part of a movie but try and give it some sort of an ending if you can or the overarching storyline of a movie crammed into 5 mins or less.

lol, ill try to narrow it down. more modern movies, like the last ten years, would be best. mysteries/thrillers would be good and everyone loves a romantic comedy thanks so much Charlie

hmmmm very intresting idea....a few scenes from A Clockwork Orange would be good. Are voice overs ok, with classical music as the score, because thats what it pretty much is through the whole movie.

Yeah that would be fine you can use audio clips from the movie but no video clips (you can use opening titles and credits though as long as they don't show any footage from the film.)

this is so cool

i've been thinking of doing a pocahontas/lost kind of vid, telling the story of pocahontas, but i think all the music from the film has words

still if i don't enter it should be fun to watch all the other videos!

actually i have the soundtrack for pocahontas and all the songs except the last one don't have words, the soundtrack i have anyway the last song is 'If i never knew you' which has words, but there's an instrumental version, I know because i was listening to it last night thinking of doing it, but i changed my mind lol.

Not sure if this has been asked/answered yet so i thought i'd do so Instead of doing a 'scene' from your movie, can you recap the entire movie? Like those vids people do for seasonal Lost recaps, can we do that for our movie? And can the audio be throughout the entire vid? Also, where would I be able to find the beginning and ending credits for my movie? Mostly just the beginning when the name comes up on the screen?

Yes to all three. Just make sure the story can be understood in the recap and with the titles thing make sure there is no actual footage from the film. Like if the titles or credits are over a shot of the film it won't be acceptable but if it's against black it's cool.
