if you're on a laptop, that's happened to me and the keyboard will need to be replaced, which, if you're still under warantee, won't cost you anything. Dunno about a desktop though _________________ avatar: Plastic!Winchester Theater by anteka @ LJ; icon by me

Well, you can take out the space key - just takes a screwdriver and a little bit of leverage. Perhaps there are crumbs or something blocking the receptive spot. Maybe try taking it out and then replacing it? You should be able to do that safely on any computer, I think.
Errr... never mind that. I just tried removing my spacebar. There's a lot of stuff under there. I hope I managed to fix it I have space capabilities but it's all funny... I'll get back to you
But I think removing the key and replacing it may be the answer, anyway.
EDIT: yeah it worked. But there are little bits of dainty plastic under there you may not want to screw with if I had snapped any of them..... *eep*
Chances are this is either fixed by now or you're getting professional assistance though lol, so I guess I just performed surgery on my keyboard for nothing oh well. At least I... learned something (?) |
