Previously on TWTSTW..

"Come on now fella we mean no harm." He smiled.

"It's Marcus the Mercurial to you!" He said before slamming the door against his foot.

[fade through black]

"I'm here maister." A voice spoke from the shadows.

"You can count on me. " He spoke, leaning forward into the light. It was Warren.

And now the next installment of TWTSTW..

Chapter 5: On the Road

The bodies of men and women stood lifeless on the streets. One woman was in the process of calling a cab and gave the impression she was in some obscure dance pose ready to be thrust upward like a ballerina. A helicopter hovered above.

Warren spoke into the microphone on his headset. "They've gone but I think I know where they will be heading next."

He tugged the headset off and ordered the pilot to change course.

Meanwhile in the pentagon..

"You seen Warren?" Holly asked.

"I think it's his day off this week." Nate said.

"We get days off?"

"Apparently.."

Up in the control tower LC was in a conference with E.

"So break it down for me again.. she is not a threat to people she comes into contact with?"

"Fortuanately no. The only place affected so far is WMM2. It is an epicentre if you will. The effects will reverebate outwards from that point." E said. "Dammit you know the worst part about having no hands is you can't scratch. I have this one really bad itch on my forehead." He said rolling around in his glass container.

"Focus E!"

He stopped spinning and started rubbing his head up against the glass.

"Mmm oo yeah thats gooddd.."

"Where we headed 'gain?" Marcus asked squinty eyed.

"Hmm let's keep that a secret shall we little man." Josh said rubbing his hands.

"I'm as much in the dark as you Marcus." Aislynn sighed.

They carried on up the road until they came across a trailer. Aislynn could smell something was cooking.

"You guys hungry? I could use a bite to eat since we don't know how long we're gonna be on the road." She said rolling her eyes affectionately at Josh.

"Oh I think I'll pass. Food doesn't usually sit too well with the likes of me pumpkin."

"I'm starving!" Marcus quipped.

Aislynn went over to the counter. The banner said SHRIMP HUT in big red and green letters.

"Shrimp it is then!"

"Well hello there!" A voice spoke. It was a young girl. "Welcome to our humble shrimp hut. My name is Jay and.. wake up!!"

A head popped out from under the counter.

"We gots shrimp!"

"That's Mims.. well I guess you only got one choice today." She grinned.

"I'll take a shrimp and hot sauce and a shrimp salad."

"Comin right up.."

"We gots Shrimp." Mims repeated and tilted her head to the side and smiled.

Marcus bashed her on the head with his foam mallet. She stopped for a second and then burst out laughing.

"There are some crazy folk out here." Marcus said.

Aislynn took Josh aside.

"We can't just leave them here. They're gonna get frozen by the time thingymejig you told me about."

"Okay darlin' I guess they can come but keep that Mims away from me she'd drive any man crazy."

Aislynn explained the situation to the two girls and they agreed to come with them.

Three hours later Josh stopped and turned round to face them.

"Before we reach our destination I must warn you that it can be a little impressive at first glance. Best you wear these." He said, reaching into his pocket and taking out four pairs of sunglasses tinted purple. They each put them on and headed on down the road.

A huge mass of light hit them.

"Ack!" Aislynn exclaimed feeling the heat of the light on her face. "What is that?"

A large shiny sign was rooted in the side of the road. WELCOME TO VEGAS (SONY INC.)

"THis is vegas, baby!" Josh grinned and held his hands out infront of the skyscape of golden buildings which were creating the intense light. "Now let's go have some fun!"

Awesome ep, really like Mims and Jay's characters.
