Hy all.
Pls excuse the following broken english...

I received an Email, that my Vid -->Jupp's LOST<-- had been deleted
because i used Clips from other members!?!?
So called a Clip Thief..
I can't accept this,
because it's not the truth...

I edited my Video all alone
(27.03.2006-18.05.2006)
taking clips from my own S01&S02 Avi's
and also from my DVD's.
There are only 2Scenes where i got
my inspiration from somewhere else...
(also taken from my stuff)

thanks for your quick response. I completely understand your concern about what seems to look like watermarks in my video clip and the concept about video clip theft. I hope I can clarify that misunderstanding, since it was neither my intention to cause confusion and trouble with my clip nor did I in any way take any parts of my video clip from an already existing video clip made by any other vidder. This fan clip and all parts of it where made by me alone.
See, the parts of the clip where I added the cross dissolve have actually only one purpose - which I admit is a little silly - but my only intention was to make the (to me)fairly annoying and distracting TV-channel Pro7-sign in the screen corner unseen as so to not actually have to have it on the clip anymore. I know now that was stupid, especcially since it caused you so much trouble and confusion.

I apologize for the inconvenience, I'll know better in the future and hope you will be considering to post my fan clip again on your site.

I'm new here, and my clip "Turn back time" by Aqua was described like "theft"...And I understand why!!! I'm from Russia, and first season of Lost I watch on our regional chanel "ORT", and then I download first half of season from this chanel, and on that episodes no name of ABC, our chanel have another , and this sign you saw in my clip, it's not some personal signature, it's from this chanel sign...

the vidder name SavageAnna, not Savanna, but this ME! I tried to register on youtube like Savanna, but someone already use this name...On another sites, every where I - Savanna(just because my favorite group Savage Garden)...So what desicion from you I can expect???

The only person I have ever stolen a clip from is myself, cause I couldn't find the episode to edit it out of on my pc. Other than that I don't steal.

I agree with Aislynn, for me it used to be very tempting to clip thieve, but I always refrained from it because I knew how much it annoys and upsets people. That's why my videos always used to be along the same lines; because I could only really get Kate or Sawyer clips. To be honest, it's been my dream for a while to start a massive site where you can download any clip of Lost, in .wmv, at all, like there'd be episode guides and every single scene of an episode would be available to download separately. It would probably cost gazillions though, especially since I'm no amazing Hobbes protege!

I was just wondering if umm you could report clip theft??
Because I just watched a recent video that someone uploaded here and there's maybe like 3 or 4 seconds of footage in their video that i know are clips from a video I just recently submitted.
There's no transitions or anything, but i can tell by the color and stuff that they're mine, i know they are.
And i dont know if there's a certain way that you go about handling it, cuz i dont use watermarks on my videos or anything, and maybe it's not long enough to be considered as theft but it kinda makes me mad.
So idk if i was supposed to say somethng about it on this thread or PM one of the moderators or what, but i thought i should at least say something.
So yeah....thanks to anyone who can let me know anything about it
