Is this the animation I was never supposed to see? 
Well, even if it wasn't, that was still absolutely awesome, Hobbes!  The cape thing, the monster attacking the plane, Jack falling into the jungle - it all looked so damn real.  And it's a perfect song for Jack.
I couldn't help but laugh at one lyric though - "I wish that I could cry."...I think that wish gets granted very often.

Sorry to be dragging in late here... 
Wow. I mean, seriously, wow! The fluid way that cape moved just had my mouth hanging open the whole time (don't picture that though, it's not a pretty image )! That was just seriously beautifully done!
*momentarily turns green with envy*
Okay, I'm back now!
Anyway, that was just seriously awesome (I MUST be serious because I've used "serious" about 12 times so far... ). Everything was just so nicely thought-out, from the concept to the song interpretation. In fact, the moment when the black smoke takes out the airplane wing should be held up as THE defining way to time events in a vid! I mean, that was just ka-POW! Dead-on!
*applause, applause, applause* 
Now I'm really looking forward to seeing what you're going to do for a Sawyer vid... I put a request in for an Official Hobbes Sawyer vid more than a year ago, you know... Not that I'm trying to strong-arm you or anything. *makes big, adorable puppy dog eyes*
Back to this vid, though. It was fantastic and well worth the wait. Bravo!

Well, it's not like I'm avoiding him or anything it's just that... I can't find a song that fits him in a way I can make it really original But I'll keep an extra-hard look out now.

Oh, and I think Nate asked this back in IM or something: the program I used for these animaitons if Cinema 4D release 9. The cape was done with the clothilde plugin (which I actually learned solely for this video thus why it took me so long to get it right). The whole thing is easy to learn, but very difficult to master. I wouldn't even consider myself intermediate with it but it's realyl fun, so if you think you ever have the time you should try it out! But I recommend doing it in a formal program, or at least using some online tutorials I can point you to, to learn the basics. Just puttering around with this thing is a death sentence |

glad you noticed that. Though I don't actualyl think that's how he landed I just wanted to do something abstract and tying-in with the cape, and that was exactly what I always saw when I heard the song so I just went for it |
