I never liked Myst  Too many intellectual puzzles for my likiing
Anyone else think the game will use a flashback format aswell that isn't shown here? Cause I read on the summary that as you go on in the game you will need to laarn from your past mistakes to progress so I reckon we could be playing in flashbacks aswell that would be so cool. I hope they keep the island action non linear though.

i really can't wait for it now
was looking on hmv for it yesterday and they've got the release date for 21st Feb 2008
and heres the summary it says about the game
As a passenger of Oceanic flight 815, you survived the crash and find yourself on an uncharted island somewhere in the Pacific Ocean. As you begin to unravel mysteries of the island, you begin to discover secrets of your own. You will have to understand your past mistakes in order to survive and find your way home...

So we're playing "as a survivor" and going to "interact with the main characters" but not actually be playing as one of them, then? Does that mean we'll have a choice of playing as *gasp* Paulo or Nikki???  
I actually sucked pretty bad at Myst myself! Yet... I still want this one! |

Wait... was that Jack in the preview? Or some redshirt?
I wanna play as Jack! 
If that's a redshirt, which I suppose it probably is, then it is unlikely that we will be playing as any of the main characters. If it is Jack, then I take it the "as a survivor" bit means "as one of the survivors" (implying we might get to pick one).
Bah, it's probably not jack, now that I think about it... They'd never give us that much control. We're probably just some redshirt
(and for the record, Myst is an awesome game . If this is even close to it, it will be a major achievement haha)
