You know Beth was not my fave character, but I agree! I really was getting on board with Beth/Noah as a ship, I liked seeing Beth on her own for once, killing her off like that felt quite cheap. _________________

Especially since Gimple spent the last two seasons trying to change everyone's minds about Beth and make them see that she wasn't pointless or useless, but I guess killing her was his plan all along, so him being all pro-Beth kind of feels like a lie now. Honestly I just feel really betrayed, and you all do know how I feel about Beth, so this is just really hard and I'm really unhappy about it. _________________

I understand your disappointment and bitterness, Eryn. Beth wasn't a favorite of mine but I did like her more after the character development they finally gave her in season 4 and 5 (... and I was SO ready to ship her with Noah!! ). Killing her for the emotional shock was really cheap und unnecessary.... and didn't work for me, I'm sorry to say, because I was more upset and angry than sad or shocked.
I think they could've done so much with her, now that she was finally about to be reunited with her folks. And don't even get me started on how they handled Maggie/Beth... Maggie just remembered that she had a sister, huh? Guh! _________________

I didn't even get the shock factor, thanks to the Official Facebook page's blunder with the spoilery status But yeah, majorly sucks. Would have loved to see more development with Beth, and Maggie's indifference towards her sister this season has been so painful to watch.

Show is bacckkkkkkkk!!!! How i missed you!

Rick needs a shavveee but damn he looks good in that shirt all sweaty
Richonne finger touchinggggggg!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ugh, i knew Noah's house would be bad but did they have to do that???? Poor boy seeing his Mama that way!
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! TYREESEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!! NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! CUT THE DAMN ARM OFFF!! CUT IT OFF!!! CUT IT!!!
Wtf is with the snooty voice on the radio? They should have got Lori to do it.
No, no!! Governor, No!! Get away!!!
oh shit did the katana just breakk???
Tyreese has perfect teeth!
I guess the katana didn't break lol
Wow, that was definitely my favourite death scene of the whole show. (weird to say I know). but it was beautifully done with Beth, Bob, Lizzie and Micah coming to take Tyreese with them. And that scene of Tyreese's hat on his cross actually made me sob out loud.

I didn't like this episode. It was very repetitive, too flashy with the editing, and just felt like it was trying too hard. Plus, why did they have to kill two very similar characters one right after the other? I liked Tyreese. I liked that he and Beth were more sensitive and handled the fight for survival differently to the others. The hat made me want to cry too. Poor, poor Sasha.
(Also, Tyreese gets an entire episode dedicated to his death but Beth gets two seconds for shock factor?)
eta: And why was Glenn with Rick and not comforting Maggie?

Yeah. I agree with you pretty much Jemma. It seemed like they were going for an arty episode but it just felt off with every other episode of the show. Tyreese was one of my faves so it really sucks they killed him off. Also I am pissed they dangled that bit of hope in there too. Not to mention it was one of the suckiest ways to die ever. They love to bring in black actors and kill them off. T-dog, Bob and now Tyreese. Guess Noah is next _________________

I haven't been around here since the show came back bc in all honesty I was still mad about Beth and the first two episodes back were a bit dull, but this one was AWESOME!! The scenes where they were trying to get away from the walkers in the dark, and they ran them over with the car and got blood all over it - those were genuinely scary, which this show hasn't been in ages! So intrigued to see what happens now that they've made it back to Aaron's community.
What was up with Rick in this episode? He was being such an asshole. I didn't like that. But I DID like Michonne knocking sense into him!
Side note: Aaron and Eric? Really, you're gonna have two characters with SUCH similar sounding names, AND they're a couple?? That's gotta be confusing for them. _________________

I thought Michonne was being weird. Back at Woodbury, she flipped out without any apparent reason. Now she's all for a place that sounds too good to be true. I think Rick was totally justified. Last time they were promised a place like this, they nearly got butchered. That would put me off getting my hopes up for sure. I was actually surprised at everyone else for being for it.
I just don't get what makes this place so special? It looks/sounds a bit like Noah's old place, and look what happened to that.

Well Michonne's gotten to a point where she knows they need a place to settle and live. They can't be out there on their own for so long because she knows what it did to her. And there was that conversation between Rick and Michonne in this episode about what she heard when she got to Woodbury and Terminus - "nothing." At the end of this ep when they got to Aaron's community they heard talking and laughter and stuff and I think that's meant to be a good sign.
I'm sure there is something that is off about this place, but right off the bat I'm more comfortable with it than Woodbury or Terminus. Aaron is less threatening than the Governor or Gareth or Dawn for sure. When they got to Woodbury, Terminus, or the hospital where Beth was, it was all like "you can join us but there are RULES to follow and you better stay in line OR ELSE" and Aaron wasn't giving off that kind of vibe at all.
Now I don't read the comics but I know bits and pieces about it and I know that
Spoiler:
Aaron becomes a main character and is still around
but I'm also waiting for
Spoiler:
Negan to show up....anyone know if that might happen soon? They need new conflict and a decent new villain who isn't like the Governor 2.0

Can I just say, after last night's episode, I'm no longer afraid of what the Alexandria people might do to our group, but I am afraid of what Carol might do to them if they make one misstep. I really don't like the way she threatened that child at the end of this episode. I'm afraid she's on her way to becoming as bad as any of the previous antagonists on this show. Idk, it just didn't seem like her. I think no matter what these people may try to pull, our group is more than capable of handling it, so Carol's behavior feels really unnecessary.
I feel so bad for poor Sasha....She's going through a lot.
What is up with Rick and that blonde woman?! I don't like this!
I really liked how nice Aaron was being to Daryl. I feel like he's being really genuine and actually cares, which is more than I might say about Deanna? I'm glad Daryl has something to do now. _________________

I agree with you about Carol, Eryn. Not even the governor threatened kids did he?? I mean the plan was stupid and unnecessary anyway. If a damn kid could follow her then it could have been someone so much worse.
I also get the feeling that if I was in Alexanderia I wouldn't want Rick's group there but at the same time after all the crap they've been through, it really does seem too good to be true. And now they've killed off the more sensitive characters Beth and Tyreese I'm worried for these new characters.
