Contest: All I want for Christmas is... Multi-Fandom!
Deadline: December 24th - yes, this is an earlier deadline than usual, but we'd really like to have all the entries in by Christmas!

The Details

Christmas time is upon us once again, & here at LVI, it's our first Christmas as a multi-fandom site! To celebrate, we'd like to see both of those events combined - a multi-fandom Christmas video!

Take your favorite Christmas movies or tv shows, & put them together to make a video that puts you & us in the holiday spirit! Any Christmas movie is welcome, along with tv specials (including cartoons), Christmas episodes of tv shows, or a combination of those. To make these vids truly multi-fandom, we are asking that you use 3 or more fandoms. As for music, Christmas songs are encouraged but not required!

The Rules

Specific Contest Rules:
• - Make a multi-fandom Christmas video.
• - Minimum of THREE fandoms to be considered multi-fandom.
• - Trailers, AUs, and OCs (Original Characters) are allowed.
• - Running time should be no longer than 5 minutes. We suggest the 3 - 5 minute range.
• - The more creative, the better. Don't be afraid to take risks.
• - When entering your video on the Submit page, you MUST enter "December 2011 contest submission" exactly in your vid's description.

General Contest Rules:

• - Contest submissions should be entered through the Submit page
• - All regular submissions Rules apply.
• - Only one entry per vidder
• - Videos already submitted and RELEVANT can be submitted again, but we would rather see something fresh. (Please contact a CM if you wish to enter a previously-submitted video)
• - Please do not use Rapidshare or Yousendit as your only hosting place.
• - If you're using Youtube as your primary link, please also provide us with an alternative link. Far too often, YT is either disabled or muted by the time the contest is ready to be judged. Mediafire, zshare and Megaupload are just a few of the sites out there that can be used as reliable backup links.
• - Keep in mind that however you choose to host your video, it must be available to be watched at least until after the deadline has passed. If we can not access your video at the time of judgment it will not be considered.
• - Have fun!

Yay Christmas contest! December contests are always some of my favorites.

I have an idea for a Christmas vid using 4 fandoms. The only problem is that only 3 have Christmas episodes. The 4th only had a few scenes that were specifically related to Christmas. I feel like the vid really works best with these 4 fandoms, that's why I don't want to cut the 4th one out or substitute it with some other show/movie.

Is there anyway to make this 4th fandom work? If I manipulate the non-Christmas scenes to seem Christmasy, could it work as an AU portion of my vid?

Macaila, that will be fine. We're allowing AUs so you can just manip your 4th fandom into looking Christmas-y and that should do the trick!
