So i know you can only submit 5 videos a month to this site so does that mean as soon as November 1st comes i can upload more videos?

yep

you can post five vids per month, and then when the next month comes you can upload five again

It's just to give the Council Members less work to do and to stop the site from being overcrowded with vids I think.

You can submit 5 "regular" vids plus one contest vid each month. So if you want to enter our monthly contest, that's not held against your 5 vid per month quota.

And yes indeed, we have that limit both to keep the site from being overwhelmed with vids as well as the CMs.

But we also created that rule way back at the start to hopefully encourage people to take a little extra time to perfect their vids before submitting them. If they're making several vids in a day, quality is usually the first thing that's sacrificed.

Anymore, though, our vidders here are of high enough quality that they wouldn't be happy with turning in several new vids in a day for the whole month (often just swapping in different songs underneath the same video clips... yep, that's happened before

) but the rule remains in place to still try to discourage that, just in case.

Mainly these days, though, the quota is just to help keep LVI from overbalancing from too many submissions in a short amount of time and to keep the CMs from doing the same thing, lol!

thanks, i was just wondering, cause the only reason i asked is cause i'm submitting past videos
