Okay, I need WinRAR to decompress zipped files, but I don't know which version I'm supposed to download for that. Which one do I download? _________________

I have WinRAR and I think it works great. I don't know what version I have but my advice is get the newest one you can. I believe they are all in a trial version period though. _________________

Trial just means an ad to register pops up now and again and reminds you. You still have full access to the program.

Thanks guys...I downloaded it.
How do I decompress the folders though, so I can use them in WMM?
I feel so stupid but I can't figure it out. _________________

If it's installed completely, then you should be able to right click on a folder and select "Extract Here". And no problem with the winrar thing! You're trying, and that's what's important! |

Thanks Hobbes.
The clips that I'm extracting now, work fine on WMP, but I can't import them into WMM. When I click on "import into collections", they just don't come up, and I've got it on show All Files. Does anyone know what the problem is? _________________

try dragging them in from one folder outside of WMM into WMM. If that doesn't work, then check the file's properties and tell us what the format is AVI? Wmv? mpg? |

I just tried that and the file moved, it just didn't show up in WMM.
In properties it says the type of file is "WinRAR Zip Archive" and it opens with WinRAR archiver. I tried to change it into WMV and then it wouldn't play.
So pretty much what happened was I used winrar so that I could see the clips, now that they're rebuilt I cant use them in WMM. _________________

you have to extract the clips from the winrar archive first by clicking "extract to..." from the right click menu on the file. You can't just open up a zipped file in WMM Do that first and you should be okay. |
