We're going to try and get back on track with the running times of our contests next month so we're doing a mini contest to fill these last few days of the month. If you guys have any questions please feel free to ask us. We can't wait to see what you guys come up with.

Contest Name: Lost Product Ad

Contest Deadline: July 31st

The Details:

Commercials are a pain for all of us to sit through, but they are a necessary part of the television world. The challenge for this contest is to create a fun and interesting ad that you wouldnâ€™t mind sitting through.

Pick your favorite product and using clips from Lost make a brief commercial advertisement for that product. As with any advertisement you must use the product in the video and it must be clearly defined what product your trying to promote.

Here are some tips. Remember generally commercial ads run in 30 second to one-minute spots. If you use any music with dialogue try and remember to be careful with your sound editing.

The Rules:

Contest submissions should be entered through the Submit page and all regular submissions rules apply! The following rules apply only for this contest.

-Running time must not exceed 1:30.

-Has to coherently sell the product

-Be creative

-When entering your video on the Submit page, enter "July 2005 contest submission" for the description.

-Keep in mind that however you choose to host your vid, it must be available for download at least till the end of the month. If we cannot access your video at the time of judgment it will not be considered.

i really gotta figure out what commercial to do.

Hey Potter, what inspired you to do that commercial? Did you just watch hours of TV and realize that commercial was good for LOST?

LOL No, I was went through some files I had ripped from a DVD with commercials and decided that'd be a good idea.

I did record and watch those hours of TV.
